Ancestry DNA Project researcher "BT" (tree Bridges Family Tree) could have five DNA links with my families:

1. Bridges looking for the parentage of James Bridges born 1721 VA died 1791 NC married to Rebecca Nancy Hamrick. He was the same generation as my Wm. Bridges b. 1727 VA died 1792 VA married Amy Baynes. He was the only son of Wm. Bridges who died Pr.Wm. Co. VA 1744. I have a copy of his will only had Wm. and daughter Mary. Other researchers have tried to add additional children. His line could be linked to another member of Wm. Bridges who died 1744 and researchers have not researched the proper line.

2. Duke--descend of Henry Duke & Elizabeth Taylor through son John Taylor Duke. I descend from their other son Wm. This DNA evidence goes down to my ancestress Priscilla Duke who married Ephraim Carrington.

3. Antrim--descend of Thomas Antrim & Jane Batter through son James Antrim husband of Mary Hance. I descend through their son John. This DNA evidence once again supports my line through Elizabeth Antrim wife of Jacob McKay. Their son Thomas Buck McKay to Charles Edward McKay (my great-grandfather).

4. Garwood--descend of Wm. Garwood & Annie Rowe through son Thomas who I descend, but rest of chart given as "private". My Garwood goes into Haines which goes into the female side of above Elizabeth Antrim.

Now if this sample was on Family Tree DNA I would think separate bits of DNA would show up on the various chromosome.

Researcher "dawndyson58" (tree June 2009) she descends from Peter Rucker & his wife Elizabeth Fielding through daughter Margaret Rucker who married Isaac Tinsely

Also descend of John Garwood & Esther Haines through their daughter Hope Garwood wife of Dayton Holloway.

She also as a Joseph Taylor born 1783 VA husband of Elizabeth Tate. I do not have enough information to determine if she is related to one of my Taylor families.

Also a descend of Jacob Derryberry, but she has the wrong information about his blood line. I do not think we share Derryberry ancestry.

She descend from the emigrate Richard Ridgeway from his first wife Elizabeth Chamberlain and through is second with Abigail Stockton.

She descend from John Branson son of Thomas Branson & Elizabeth Day. I descend twice from their son Lionel Branson.

She descend from Martha Antrim who married said John Branson. She was the daughter of Thomas Antrim & Sarah Zelley. I descend through their son John Antrim.

Researcher "whiteoakrising1" has in common according to his chart: Barber, Pugh & Gist. With Barber we both descend from couple Charles Barber & Frances Glascock, he through daughter Frances who married Isaac Webb.

His Pugh line (which I have more interest) unlinked back to the ones in early PA. Looking for the parentage of Ferebee Pugh born 1733 lived in NC.

His other known line from couple Nathaniel Gist & Mary Howard, he descend from son Christopher.

Researcher "Gary W Rogers of TX" we share common ancestors: Elizabeth Clarkson (1679-1780) married Marmaduke Semmes. His Ridgeway unlinked to mine looking for the parentage of John Ridgeway (1741-1781 SC) married Charity Hendricks. His Rust line from the same couple Samuel & Martha Rust he through son George. We now have three kits from this couple.

I know I have many more matches on Ancestry, but since people "lock" their samples or do not place surnames in connection with their sample the results are real useless. I had 219 pages of matches and I have "trashed" the number now down to 97 pages. Hate not having the DNA material, but I am not going to chase after people.

Researcher "samanthasmiley8" descend of Martha Hiatt born 1750 NC died 1810 present day WV married Caudy. She daughter of John & Martha (Stephens) Hiatt. I have not got my Hiatt line back to emigrate. This line goes into my grandfather Roy D. Hopgood.

Also double distant cousin Malin and Pugh these two surnames go into my great-grandmother Etta Double Sowers. Descends from Lucy Malin b. 1740 York, PA married Thomas Pugh. He the son of Thomas & Jane Ann (Rogers) Pugh. This couple our common ancestor. She need to get her Malin back to Isaac & Elizabeth (Jones) Malin.

Also a descend of John Taylor Duke and Jane Steward. We have four other kits from researchers who descend from this couple. A male descend of this Taylor line has his Y marker results posted Family Tree DNA. Said John Taylor Duke son of Henry Duke and Elizabeth Taylor. Said Elizabeth one of the descend of Dr. Rowland Taylor. This bit of DNA goes into the blood lines of Priscilla Duke who married Ephraim Carrington.
