Ancestry charges yearly rate (US cheaper & World) to get a hold of their on line records. Which is only fair. If you are a member you do not pay additional fees to enter your DNA sample.

If people who supply a DNA sample also supply their Family Tree it is very easy to see the link between you and the other researcher. People do place incorrect information on their trees, you must take all with a grain of salt.

Family Tree DNA has a new item on their site. Called "Family Tree" the researcher typed their family members names. I do not know if others looking at their matches can see what is given or not.

If others can see your ancestors names that would be very helpful in helping figure out where we match with others.
