This is the part of Autosomal which breaks down your DNA according to regions of the world.
I am showing 88.89 Western Europe
11.00 Europe
They do not trace down beyond 3%.
If they will tell which group of Native American tribe you belong I have no idea. I know Family Tree DNA is running various project among different American Tribes.
Just send them a message if you have questions.
I like the Ancestry breaks down the regions of the world better than Family Tree.
How many matches do you think you have been given.

It's actually saying that a portion of my ancestry is from the Middle East or North Africa.

Says it's 1.11% with the remaining 88.8% Western European. I would hazard a guess and say that it means the Hartless line is likely my only non European line I have since they were the ones showing up as 'Mulatto' in an early census record.

My husband's mitochondrial is H15a1 and this is the portion which is found North Africa and middle east on his Autosomal. Also could have Jewish blood lines.
All the rest of his blood line found only British Isles.

I do realize some people have to work for a living, but when you find time here are the ones I hope you also match
Known descends of Robert Mackay Sr.
1. Linda F. Rogers from James McKay Sr.
2. Brian Wayne Beck from Moses McKay so has Jobe as well
3. Glen Joseph Hill believe a Kyle & McKay from Robert Jr.
They would be 7th to 8th cousins or distant cousin. Could be others I have not figured out. Some researchers do not fill in their listing of surnames at all. And you find out some just list surnames they are really interested in working.
The ones who have Scottish Ancestry
1. Margaret MacPhail
2. G.T.H. Shaw
3. Pamela M. Thomson
4. Roderie Wallace Fairweather they (#3 & #4) have piece of DNA on the same location. I don't know who they are, but must be related to me through the same branch of the tree.
5. Dorothy M. Elder
These five are the ones who show Scottish Blood lines who left Scotland about 70 to 100 after our group of Mackay.
It might be you will have other Scottish DNA which is in the same group.
Off hand, there are Haines, Lehew & Branson you should match.
Well, do you have Native American ancestry ?
I find it odd that my son shows no matches with his distant known McKay cousins: Linda F. Rogers, Brian W. Beck & Glen Jo. Hill. He does match with Michael L. McKay on #1 & #15. So he has picked up that part of my gene pool for McKay & Sowers.
Out of the five Mackay/McKay living in Canada, New Zealand or Australia he shows matches with three of them: Pamela M. Thomson, Roderic W. Fairweather & Margaret Macphail.
On my mother's side quick look he matches with James F. Hopgood, John W. Mayberry & Mona Gail Romans.
No Derryberry.
On his Population Finder, his map looks just like his father's, which I find strange.

This from my computer PAF program.

Middle East as: Palestinian, Bedouin, Druze, Jewish or Mozabite. It would appears all found on the African land mass. I believe all from Irvin's mother "H"
All the rest of his map right on British Isles, which does not explain to me his German families: Bock, Desch or Claus. Rest of his blood lines I can see: English, Irish & Scots.
I like the way Ancestry breaks down the various racial groups into smaller portions.
In future I hope more people will share their various DNA results and indexed on some site. So others can see if their various Y & Mitochondiral results that have been tested. All could comfirm your Autosomal test results.
I do not know if you have looked into entering your MacKay Y marker in Quaker Project. You would not have to tell them Robert Mackay was a convert. That site could contain all our Y markers for our various Quaker Families.
You might in the future see if Rockbridge Co. VA has a project up and running for that region of VA. You could enter your Autosomal DNA result in that kind of a DNA pool.
When Gerard McKay's DNA is entered into the pool, he also has Rockbridge Co. VA blood lines.

Does Irvin's ancestors come from southern VA and NC? I've been wondering where these people came from and how they ended up in North America. I thought maybe we might be related to Roma (Gypsies) because historically they've been in existence in Europe for centuries with no clear place of origin other than it isn't Europe. Plus there are stories of North African groups saling to parts of the European coast including Ireland and Great Britain.

Yep, both of us are great (3x) grandchildren of Thomas Buck McKay. Our generations overlap in some areas. Daryl McKay is my 3rd cousin once removed too but I'm older than he is by 2 years.

I meant to say 11.11% not 1.11%. Still point to the Hartless family as my main one hinting non European roots.
