I set up a while ago free 12 Y marker test for any descend of Robert Sr., there is $200 still in the bank. NO TAKERS !!
I do not know if in the future these various surname project will start to include Autosomal test kits.
I would like to find a descend (male or female) Jacob McKay & Elizabeth Antrim to do the Autosomal to see what we find !! Other than you Michael and I.

Just got my sample kit today. I'll try and do it tonight so I can get it back out in the mail.
Until I hear otherwise from Family Tree DNA I'll just run both accounts and put identical information in both of them. That way my name will come up the same no matter which one they are viewing for a match.

I think you will see all this is money well spend.
Still trying to figure out why my McKay cousins hit on different Chromosome but some all hit the same number.
I will be interest to see where your Sowers hit. Stanley H. Heiskell a Sowers & Hamilton (distant for both) 3 & 11. And I have a double line, so will be interesting to see if you two different pieces.
For our King William Families: Mitchell, Brownley & Hunt where they will line up.
It could be have additional families in common in that area.
Looking for Carey, Brownley (on my line) & Poindexter (connected with Hunt)
Looking to connect our Sowers with Crum.
Really do not know if the test will shed any light if your Jenkins and my Jenkins are the same family.

Did they say how long the upgrade on your Y test will take ?

Could you provide me with all the family names we share so I can add them to my profiles? I'll have to fill in all the ones from my Grandma's side and the others from Granddad's side that you don't share like Timberlake & Heflybower to name a few, then I'll have to put my Mom's families in as well.

All the blood line you have from Wm. B. McKay, I have in my tree.
All the blood line you have from Mary E. Sowers (minus her Brownley as of now) I have in my tree. I have a double line of Sowers and you from her have a double line of Hunt.
I have send off e-mail to two researchers who have Haines in the list of surname. These two would go back 13 generation. Of course, they would also be your distant cousins as well.
I am interested in the Cloud surname and three have that name in their listing one with Budd (Quaker name in our charts). Also a Borden researcher that blood line goes way back on Antrim line.
I am sure you will have so many Hollingsworth cousins, you will not know what to do with all of them.
I am posting here the researchers and which surname they have in common with us and myself. You can go into my site and see if I have listed them as found "cousins". The counter only goes up to 6th cousins after that listed as "Distant Cousin".
I have hundreds of matches on Ancestry DNA, which I have to look at in the future.

I just received confirmation that my two Family Tree DNA profiles have now been merged. I'm using my original profile and the Autosomal test will be done on my original sample. I'm not sure what to do with the test kit they sent me. Perhaps it could be used for a different test kit and we could get that sample in.

Irather doubt they would give you a free kit. If they do let one of your cousins or parents use it. I would think they would want additional $103.

I just sent them a reply about it. I am seriously doubting you will be able to merge your accounts since you've already sent in multiple samples. I think they were able to delete the second profile of mine because I hadn't done that.

I have four different accounts with Family Tree DNA and not a problem for me.
What about the other kit ? Did they cancel it ?
