Found Ancestry DNA project researcher "bartels222" descend of Richard Haines Sr. through his eldest son John Haines (1664-1728) line with wife Esther Borton.
I descend from another son Richard Haines Jr.
Researcher "HBD" descend of the emigrate Richard Haines through his son Wm. Haines who married Sarah Paine. He also is a distant Rudd cousin.

Found Ancestry DNA project researcher "bartels222" descend of Richard Haines Sr. through his eldest son John Haines (1664-1728) line with wife Esther Borton.
I descend from another son Richard Haines Jr.
Researcher "sims_694" descend of the emigrate Richard Haines through son Thomas who married Elizabeth Austin to his son George and his son George Haines (1751-1795) who married Elizabeth Sharp. I did not have this couple listed in my Antrim book in Haines section page 275.
Also a descend of the emigrate Richard Stockton. He has some information which does not match with other researcher.

Researcher "jmd15075" descend of this couple through son Abraham Haines. This bit of DNA goes into the make up of Elizabeth Antrim who married Jacob McKay parents of Thomas Buck McKay.

Family Tree DNA researcher Jean Bergeson and I share #10 9.01 and my son Brandan 8.31. She has a different McCoy than our Mackay and she has Stout ancestry, but it would appear I do not.
We descend from Ambrose Dudley Sr. she through son Ambrose Jr. and I through daugther Mary and my blood line goes down to my Jett ancestry.
Researcher "nertelh" descend of couple Ambrose & Anne (Foster) Dudley through son Ambrose. This bit of DNA goes down to me through Pilcher line to Ball.

Researcher "MTM" descend of Richard & Mary (Carlile) Haines through their son Thomas Haines. This bit of DNA goes down into my McKay line.

Through Family Tree DNA Path Finder a researcher Dorothy Margaret Elder and I show a DNA with surname Mackay.
Her oldest named McKay-- Ann McKay daughter of Ann Provost of Killearnan, Ross & Cromarty in 1766. I would say about 4 generation later than our Robert Mackay.
I told her of your web site and hope she will give us more information. I did inform her we have the Y marker of our Robert Mackay.
Now-- if one of our other known descendants of Robert MacKay would submitt a sample to their Family Path Founder, it would be VERY interesting to see if that sample also matched her.
I thought this test only went back 5 generations, but perhaps some of the DNA lines might go back farer.
You can google said town, I do not think the parish records go back as far as we shall need.
She (or some one else) have placed her blood lines on Family Tree Finder. Still I can not see our link, but found somewhere in Scotland and not in VA or US.

Ancestry DNA Project researcher Jelogue20 his tree James Logue Family Tree, looking for the parentage of Enoch Jobe Jr. born 1755 VA died 1843 Cole Co. MO m. ..............? not given through his daughter Hannah Job born 1781 died Van Buren Co. TN. She married Wm. Marrs Logue
I do not have that this Enoch had a daughter named Hannah. He removed from VA to MO and this line would appear to have lived in TN.
In any case, I believe this researcher is a descend of Robert Mackay Sr's daughter Margaret Mackay who married Joshua Jobe they had Enoch Sr. & Moses. I think more works need to be done to be sure which line this researcher descends.
Found on Family Tree DNA researcher Brian Keith Wilson hits on #16 21.56 he descend from James Rodeffer (1815-1894) married Elizabeth Job born 1825. They were married in Shenandoah Co. VA. Her parents were Zachariah Jobe and Elizabeth Odell, he the son of Moses Jobe, he son of Joshua Jobe & Margaret MacKay.
He is a triple cousin: Mackay, Jobe and Odell.
He has fill out his tree on Family Tree DNA. Can also find his line on various tree on Ancestry.

Said George Shaw or G.H.T. Shaw as listed on Family Tree DNA did answer my e-mail.
His tree is on Ancestry Hoare/Mackenzie and his lines like I thought all living in GB or Canada.
I do not see any connection on this side of the Atlantic. Under his listing of surname Mackay?. I can not find our surname on his charts.
He is descend of Charles Ferguson (1755-1829) born & died England.
I could have Ferguson ancestry which I am not aware.
At least that question has been answered.
G.T.H. Shaw has his oldest known Mackay ancestor as Hugh Mckenzie and Christian Mackay lived in Rogart, Sutherland his line removed to Canada where they died.
