I submitted through Family Tree DNA Path Finder with his Mitochondrial marker
My huband's female line
Rosemary G. Bunting (1922 MD-2010 MD) m. Irvin P. Buck daughter of
Gertrude Rose Desch (1890 MD-1974 MD) m. Lloyd Millard Bunting daughter of

His ancestress listed on 1860 & 1870 Columbia, PA with parents
Anthony Claus born in Strasbourg Alsace-Lorraine with wife Bridget both reported on US census as being born in France. At this point I do not know if Bridget was Elizabeth's mother or a step-mother.
This line given as H15A1. He shows a match with Katherine S. Hollingsworth her oldest given ancestress Annie Magdaline Davis born 1841 IN died 1925
Matches from his Family Path Finder showing a match with Ms. Molley A. Studley she giving an ancestor Kelley from Cork, Ireland.
We have been told his oldest known Kelley ancestor James Patrick Kelley from Cork, Ireland born 1838 and died 1918 Baltimore, MD.

My husband's Family Path Finder through his mitochondrial shows a match with Hollingsworth. We are showing no common ancestry.
My Family Path Finder shows a cousinship 5th or remote with D.C. Hollingsworth. I hope to make contact with said person to see if they descend from Hannah MacKay who married into Hollingsworth family.

Family Tree DNA has reduced their price for Family Path Finder which gives researcher their autosmal markers for low price of $99
My test result are in this data bank and well as Beta Test through Ancestry.
If you think you might be a descend of Robert MacKay, but have no Y marker, then this is your change to see if related to this group of Mackay of VA.
Your results should show a match to my sample.
I do not know what the price of the Beta Test through Ancestry.

Michael, this might be an interesting person to see if you match on Hollingsworth side.
Received e-mail from "KdHolly"
"I am Kd, DC"z mon, I try to maintain the Family Finder DNA results.
I will look in to this. Your mutual cM are only 22.45, that is 5th or greater cousin. There is no James F. Hopgood on the FF-DNA matches.
It may take some time, for D.C.'s Paternal Grandmother was Adopted (born 1932); She was raised in Denever, Colorado.
His Paternal Grandfather's line is Bailey-Adkins, from KY & TN from VA. The Ancestor-Surname list for Bailey-Adkins is below, inclusive of first generation of Ancestors.
You are not connected to D.C. Maternal line, for I checked my DNA results & my Brother's"
KdHolly
So what I thought would be rather simple task of figure out this D.C. Hollingsworth, most likely will not be solved.

I have been told by another researcher who works with Strasbourg, Alsace-Lorraine, records--Claus is a very common name.
As with my Autosomal DNA results showing matches with researchers in location I know my family did live, Irvin has Mitochondrial match with Bernadette McGrath living in Canada.
I believe the link with her and Katherine S. Hollingsworth, if found will be in the back many generations.
1. Anthony Claus born 1818 France (per census) carpet weaver on 1860 & 1870 Columbia, PA census wife Bridget 48 years born in France.
Children in household
1. Catherine Claus born France 1849
2. Mary Claus born France 1850
By 1870 census either died or married
3. Jacob Claus born PA 1852
4. Elizabeth Claus born PA 1855
5. Rosanna Claus born PA 1858
Jacob & Rosanna Claus witnesses at Elizabeth Claus marriage in Columbia, PA to J.J. Desch. The church being Catholic.
L.D.S. data bank as an Anthony Clauss (sic) born 24th Jul 1818 married in Strasbourg 1st Sep 1845 to Marie Ann Scherer.
I have no idea if same Anthony Claus or not. And I have no additional information about the other woman who possess the said mtd markers as my husband, down their female lines.
Next step the markers into Desch family.

1. Elizabeth Claus b. 5 Apr 1855 Columbia, PA, d. 28 Apr 1892 Baltimore, MD, census records show her parents both born in Strasbourg, Alsace-Lorraine. She was married by Rev. Father Pieper 29 Aug 1876 Holy Trinity Church, Columbia, PA Located on 4th Cherry Street, Columbia, PA to John Joseph Desch. We have pictures of both and death certificate for both. I believe their graves found on "Fine a Grave" New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. We are really only interested in the females, of course, they pass along the mtd.
Their children:
1. George R. Desch, died in CA
2. Joseph A. Desch died as child
3. John M. Desch
4. Ella B. Desch b. 12 Mar 1885, m-1 2 Feb 1905 Maurice J. Walsh, they had a daughter, m-2 Joseph Gocking, she died c1959, Mary Walsch married Kenneth Noyes had a daughter.
5. Elizabeth Katherine "Bessie" Desch b. 18 Jan 1887, m. 17 Dec 1913 John Teipe, d. 27 Jan 1973, she had a daughter but was Roman Catholic Nun.
6. Josephine B. Desch died as child
7. Gertrude Rose Desch m. Lloyd Millard Bunting, see next posting.
8. Eugene A. Desch b. 6 Apr 1892, married twice no issue.
So the markers pass along into Bunting Family of Baltimore, MD.

1. Gertrude Rose Desch b. 22 Jul 1890 in City of Baltimore, MD, d. 22 Jan 1974 Towson, Baltimore Co. MD, buried Woodland Cemetery, Baltimore, MD, married 22 Feb 1912 at the rectory of St. Agnatus Church in Baltimore, MD to Lloyd Millard Bunting. She being Catholic and he Methodist, at that point in time, non-Catholic could not marry Catholics in the actual Church Building. Their children:
1. Martha Elizabeth Bunting b. 28 Aug 1917, m. 4 Jul 1936 to Fred Martin Hough, d. Jun 1996 Greensboro, NC. Has a living son, but sure he is not interested in DNA research. He has no children.
2. Rosemary Bunting b. 19 Aug 1922, m. 5 Oct 1940 Irvin P. Buck, d. 21 Dec 2010 Baltimore, MD. My husband supplied the DNA sample and he has older brother who would test the same, if interested, which he is not.
3. Lloyd M. Bunting Jr. b. 19 Jun 1926 m. Claire Gough, d. 2013 Baltimore, MD. His children would not contain the markers, for they have their mother's DNA marker. He does have a daughter who lives in Canada, she has two sons, but they would not contain the same markers. They would have Gough.
4. Thelma Bunting b. 9 Sep 1928, m. 14 Jun 1950 Ralph Henry Amrein Jr., d. 21 Jun 1991 Baltimore, MD. They have three living children all contain the said markers, but none interested in DNA research. Their one son has no children and other two daughters have children who contain the markers.
None of the above people lived in Canada. The link, if never found will be in Strasbourg.

Others have asked for my "Tree Address" I find putting in all those number difficult. I rather just look around still I find a the tree I want.
My tree found on Ancestry and I am posting Autosomal Matches as I go through my two DNA sites. I believe I have about 1000 matches together on the two sites.
trees.ancestry.com/tree/44894133/family.
I do not think public libraries are allowed to offer "The Trees" to their non-paying public, believe you have to be a paying Member.

Was Wm. Bunting b. 1645 Matlock, Derbyshire, England and died 1716 Eastern Shore, VA, married to Rebecca Hollowell born 1660 England?, d. 1740 same location. I have found a number of VA documents on Ancestry, which I have attached to The Buck Family Tree.
I thought my husband's Bunting came from one of the two Quaker brothers John or Samuel. As it has turned out said John & Samuel had two other brothers, one being said Wm. Bunting.
They were the four sons of Anthony Bunting who lived to be 100 years of age. And mother Ellen Barker.
A number of Bunting grave markers can be found St. Giles Church Cemetery, Matlock, Derbyshire, England.
Said Anthony's mother Clemence (Rosson) Bunting's grave is still marked died 12 Jun 1668.
His ancestor Lloyd D. Bunting's grave also found on Fine a Grave.

Family Tree DNA Family Finder has two matches with my husband's distant Bunting Family. Lots of information about this family on the net.
Two matches with her two different Savage families. Several with very distant Parker cousins.
Looking to find researchers to submit DNA samples into Family Tree DNA Family Finder for Desch and Claus (we have the female marker for this line).
