According to Family Tree DNA Path Finder my sample & Charles Herrell shows a Lehew connection.

Mine & Michael line of Lehew

Nicholas Le Hugh only son
Peter Lehew (c1695-c1723) born & died VA
Spencer Lehew (c1733-1802) born & died VA
Moses Lehew (c1776-c1837) born & died in VA
Eli Lehew (1803-1845) born & died in VA
Ann Elizabeth Lehew (1832-1869) born & died in VA wife of T.B. McKay

His line given as John Lehew born 1817 in VA died Callahan Co. TX. I do not think the birth place of VA is correct should read OH, IN or PA, because those are the location where our Lehew family removed from VA to part west.

I do not see how he could be a desendant of our Moses Lehew. However some of his brothers' descendants removed west to OH

Spencer Lehew (c1733-1802) descendants removed to parts of OH. His son John Lehew (1763-1816) in OH married Elizabeth Spencer. They had a son Spencer Lehew (1786-1863) OH married Margaret Lawrence had son named John Lehew born 1818. I have no additional information.

If others have information about the family removing down to TX, sure the research would like to hear from you.
Family Tree DNA has the DNA sample of Willie Fred Crow which matches mine & my son Brandan Paul Buck.

He hits on #3 10.15 for me
#3 9.4 for Brandan

We descend from John Rogers (1687-1767) and his wife Martha Middleton. Said W.F. Crow descends from his son Thomas Rogers (1713-1792) who married Ann Staples and I descend from John Rogers who married Sarah Stokes.

This match goes back 10 generations:

John Rogers (1687-1767) m. Martha Middleton
John Rogers (c1713-1740) m. Sarah Stokes
Rebecca Rogers (c1734-1812) m. Lionel Branson
Hannah Branson (c1779-1848) m. Moses Lehew
Eli Lehew (1803-1845) m. his cousin Sarah Branson
Ann E. Lehew (1832-1869) m. Thomas B. McKay
Charles E. McKay (1857-1932) m. Etta Double Sowers

they were my great-grandparents

I wish it was true that researchers have documented the ancestry of Nancy Foley wife of Spencer Lehew and Frances Allen wife of Peter Lehew. But when you ask for the documentation they get really MAD !!
Ancestry DNA Match with researcher "denmanup" she or he has oldest known ancestor Nancy Ann Foley born 26 Dec 1776 Pr.Wm.Co.VA died 23 Aug 1866 Wood Co. WV married 1800 to John S. Sutherland.

No parents given. The location is right, but I have not found the time to e-mail researcher. Said Nancy's father would be about the same generation as our Nancy Foley who married Spencer Lehew

When I first started doing family history, I ran into material wanting to link John Rogers (16878-1767) as being descendant of Thomas Rogers of Mayflower who died first winter.

No truth to the idea we belong to that group of Rogers. I believe Mayflower Society has the real documentation as to all the people who came over on Mayflower.

Joan Addison DNA sample found on Family Tree DNA. I show Chromsome #14 for 15.32 and my son hangs in with #14 12.34

Our common ancestry Thomas Branson & Elizabeth Day back 8th generations. Brandan back another generations.

Researcher Wills_James is also descend of Jared Branson.

I afraid I disagree with the line of descend they have for their lines. If interested Ancestry Tree has the line of our emigrated back another generation in England under tree Branson-Foster. If correct I do not know.

I believe Jared Branson must come from son Joseph. Here is what I know about children of the emigrate Thomas. I have not updated my notes on the families of Ann Elizabeth Lehew since 1991. But now I am collecting DNA information posting that to my notes and here.

1. Thomas Branson (1671-1744 NJ) m. Elizabeth Day, copy of his will in that location, really only interested in listing information about the sons:

Second Generation
2. Elizabeth Branson m. Wm. Rogers

3. David Branson m. 1738 NJ to Mary Bullock. I have the names of their children no Jared and they stayed in NJ.

4. Thomas Branson m. c1730 to Rebecca Borden, his line removed down to NC. had two sons: Levi & Eli, members of Cane Creek MM NC, Yes I have Borden as well in my DNA pool. I do not see additional bits of DNA that above researcher also has Borden.

5. JOSEPH BRANSON m. 18 Mar 1745 Burlington Co. NJ to Mary Edge, this couple I have no more information, believe the only place for Jared Branson born 1753

6. John Branson m-1 Isabella.........? m-2 6 Dec 1748 NJ to Martha Antrim, John & Martha left wills in Frederick Co. VA. John only son was Thomas. We have Antrim ancestry in my DNA pool.

7. Jonathan Branson b. 20 Sep 1720 Monmouth Co. NJ m. 7 Apr 1746 Alice Atkinson, d. 16 Mar 1799 Monmouth Co. NJ I have the names of their son no Jared, they remained in NJ. His is the only firm birth date for Thomas' children.

8. Mary Branson m. Zachariah Robins

9. Day Branson m. 22 Sep 1755 Swedes Church, Phil. PA to Christina Anderson. Ancestry as copy of secondary text on line. I have no further information about this couple. Given their marriage date (unless he married earlier) Jared born 1753 to early to be their son

10. Sarah Branson m. 2 Feb 1744 to Joshua Owin

11. Lionel Branson Sr. m. 1 Nov 1749 NJ to Rebecca Rogers, d. 1811 Frederick Co. VA. This is mine & Michael L. McKay double line of Branson. I know not my line.

12. Wm. Branson m. 11 Apr 1753 VA to Elizabeth Osmond.
They stayed in VA. Not their line. I have names of their children.

Researcher continue to record Thomas's two son John & Day as John Day Branson. I do not know where they get his name as Thomas L. Branson. No middle name.

I think the two researchers need to look at

1. Thomas Branson m. Elizabeth Day their son
2. Joseph Branson m. 1745 NJ to Mary Edge
3. Jared Branson

Might see about reading up on Edge Family. Believe another Quaker family.

Good luck with your research. Comments, questions or complains just post your questions.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "J.R.B." DNA samples matches mine. His line Thomas Branson Sr. & Elizabeth Day through their daughter Elizabeth Branson wife of Wm. Rogers. I have only one daughter listed, he has six more of their descends listed.

I have a double line through their son Lionel Branson Sr.

Found on Ancestry DNA site researcher Elfranke53 has false names of children listed for James Foley died 1799 in Fauquier Co. VA.

I wish our Nancy Ann was one of them, but she was not.

They also have some rather odd information up the line that Thomas Foley born 1650 died 1690 was son of Col. John Powell (1624-1684) by Keziah arroyo. Really do not know what they are saying. But not my problem.

I guess this means on Family Tree found Ancestry people have posted the wrong parentage for our Nancy Ann Foley wife of Spencer Lehew.

Ancestry DNA project researcher "robinbernens" & I share a bit of DNA material.

Her line Mary Ann Branson born 1806 NC died 1880 TN married to Craven Sherrill.

I believe not linked directly to my double line of VA Branson, most likely linked to the members of the family that removed down to Cane River Meeting House, NC.

I have a double line of Branson. Eli Lehew & his wife Sarah Branson were cousins, each having Branson ancestry.

1. Randy Brown line of Thomas-Eli-Rebecca died SC, he also has Borden & McKay

2. David Kelley line of Mary Ann Branson b. c1745

3. C.F. line of Absalom Branson born 1740 Wales and son David Branson b. 1781 NC d. 1830 TN, he has Foster, Wright, Brown & White

4. J.M. private

5. cynthia6881 private

6. Wills_James line of Jarred E. Branson b. 1754 Grayson Co. VA, d. 1831 Gasonade Co. MO, has Green

7. CSC04r1--line of Chloe Branson b. 1815, d. 1876

8. JGY--private

9. Judiboo--line of Leonard B. Brandson no dates or location

10. A.S.--line of Thomas L. Branson to son Wm. to son Isaac Branson born 1765 Stafford Co. VA died 1829 Flusing OH. The man is list as Thomas L., I have just as Thomas (records I have seen) and I descend from his other son Lionel Sr. (twice)

11. etrisch--line of Nathaniel Branson b. 1787 Grainger Co. TN and died same location in 1858.
Both of these researcher claim descend from Jarret E. Branson born 15 Mar 1754 in Grayson Co. VA died 1 Feb 1831 MO.

I do not remember looking at #6 tree, but looking at "RM." I can state people who claim this line of descend are not from the family of Thomas Branson & Elizabeth Day.

Thomas Branson Sr. (NO MIDDLE NAME, please) husband to Elizabeth Day had 11 children: Elizabeth, David, Thomas Jr., Joseph, JOHN, Jonathan, Mary, DAY, Sarah, Lionel (my double line) & Wm.

TWO DIFFERENT MEN: John AND Day.

John' son Thomas born 1735, died in NC married Jeanne Painter they had ten children all but the last two born in Frederick Co. VA last two New Garden Meeting House Records NC: John (born 26 May 1764), Lois, Robert, Hannah, Thomas, David, Eunice, Jacob, Abraham & Elizabeth. Birth dates found in those Quaker Records in NC.

The couple NEVER lived in Grayson Co. VA and had no son named Jarred E. Branson

There was a family named BRONSON who lived in early Norfolk, VA and I remember in my early days of studying our Branson Family, wondering who they belonged. They do not belong to my group of Branson.

Researcher 'RM" is a proven distant Jett cousin, and could be a distant Thatcher cousin. These two lines explain us showing a DNA link. But not through BRANSON.

Found Ancestry DNA researcher "Sandrakd47" looking for the parentage of Rebecca Ann Branson 1795 VA died 1893 AK, wife of John L. Kimbrough

The various trees on Ancestry also do not know her parentage.

Depending on where in VA (if true) Rebecca was born, this researcher I think need to look at two lines coming down from Thomas Branson, older son:

1. Wm. Branson married Elizabeth Osmond (has Antrim ancestry) all their children born in Stafford Co. VA. I have the names of all their children, but not their grandchildren. She needs only to go back one more generation.

2. Lionel Branson Sr. (my double line) eldest son Amos found on early census Hardy Co. VA/WV. I only have the name of two of his children Amos Jr. (moved West) and daughter married into Wright family.

By using her DNA sample if she shows matches with other Osmond & Antrim (I have also in my sample) researchers then most likely #1

If she shows matches with Rogers & Stokes researchers then look at #2.

We have the tools if people just would use them and share the results.

Found Family Tree DNA Family Finder, researcher Sharon Steele shows a match with my Lehew line. We would be 7th cousins, her line

Nicholas Lehew to Peter Lehew to Francis Lehew to John Lehew, to Jeremiah Lehew, John Lehew Lehew, to Dona Lehew m. Wm. Slaughter to Myrtle Slaughter married Olen Stevens to Verna Stevens married John Steele to said Sharon Steele.

Her sample also on Ancestry DNA site.

She stated a number of her Stevens family in the pool as well. Wait to see if related to us or not.

Her DNA hit on my chromosome #4. Well be interesting to see where this Lehew ancestry shows up on Michael's test results.
Found on Ancestry DNA Project researcher "candgnic" descend of Peter Lehew through his son William Lehew. Found on page 61 of my Lehew Book. She has placed the wife of Nicholas as Mary Owens and has the line back a few more generations in VA. If correct I have not idea. The same is true for the wife of Peter Lehew, Frances Allen. The location are wrong for the given parentage, rather doubt if it is correct. All of this linked to the blood lines of my gr-gr-grandmother Ann Elizabeth LEHEW

Also descend of Eliza Bird Kellam 1706-1754 m. John Huffington. She brings the surname back five generations. If correct I have no idea. Some of the location are questionable. This surname is on my mother's side of my tree. Being part of the blood lines of my 5 great grandmother Elizabeth Kellam married Joshua Gist.

Also descend of Maria Margaret Susannah Zumwalt born 1733 Niederauerback, Zwibruder, Germany d. 1767 married to John Link, not clear if and when she removed to US. My line came from Alsace Lorraine, France by 1730's settled in PA. This line goes into my Snyder family married into Hopgood. Being part of the blood lines of my 4 great-grandmother Catherine Zumwalt.

Also descend of Thomas Etheridge & Christian Marrington of early VA. My line married into Nash family into Barber into Reynolds into Johnston into Mitchell into Sowers. Blood line of my great-grandmother Etta Double Sowers.

I wish Ancestry DNA Project had a chromosome browser like Family Tree DNA. This person could be a distant cousin four times over. She also has Roth (could be linked with my Shipp), Grubb (looking for link with Robert Mackay) & Bolling.
