According to Family Tree DNA Path Finder my sample & Charles Herrell shows a Lehew connection.

Mine & Michael line of Lehew

Nicholas Le Hugh only son
Peter Lehew (c1695-c1723) born & died VA
Spencer Lehew (c1733-1802) born & died VA
Moses Lehew (c1776-c1837) born & died in VA
Eli Lehew (1803-1845) born & died in VA
Ann Elizabeth Lehew (1832-1869) born & died in VA wife of T.B. McKay

His line given as John Lehew born 1817 in VA died Callahan Co. TX. I do not think the birth place of VA is correct should read OH, IN or PA, because those are the location where our Lehew family removed from VA to part west.

I do not see how he could be a desendant of our Moses Lehew. However some of his brothers' descendants removed west to OH

Spencer Lehew (c1733-1802) descendants removed to parts of OH. His son John Lehew (1763-1816) in OH married Elizabeth Spencer. They had a son Spencer Lehew (1786-1863) OH married Margaret Lawrence had son named John Lehew born 1818. I have no additional information.

If others have information about the family removing down to TX, sure the research would like to hear from you.

I wish it was true that researchers have documented the ancestry of Nancy Foley wife of Spencer Lehew and Frances Allen wife of Peter Lehew. But when you ask for the documentation they get really MAD !!

Found Family Tree DNA Family Finder, researcher Sharon Steele shows a match with my Lehew line. We would be 7th cousins, her line

Nicholas Lehew to Peter Lehew to Francis Lehew to John Lehew, to Jeremiah Lehew, John Lehew Lehew, to Dona Lehew m. Wm. Slaughter to Myrtle Slaughter married Olen Stevens to Verna Stevens married John Steele to said Sharon Steele.

Her sample also on Ancestry DNA site.

She stated a number of her Stevens family in the pool as well. Wait to see if related to us or not.

Her DNA hit on my chromosome #4. Well be interesting to see where this Lehew ancestry shows up on Michael's test results.

Be told by another researcher that her Stevens cousins: Merle Stevens, Troy Stevens, Ray Stevens, Gerald Stevens & Judy Stevens have DNA profiles in the data pool.

Merle Stevens mention also Hollingsworth & Robinson.

Found on Ancestry DNA researcher Marie Nolan is a descend of Nicholas Lehew to Peter through daughter Winifred Lehew who married V. Owens.

She has the wife of our Nicholas Lehew as Mary Owen. I have heard this before, but I have not seen documentation.

On another Pedigree Chart by Curtis Family, her parents given as George Owen & Rebecca Darrell. And has the line going back another three generations.

Found on said Marie Nolan, DNA listing of surnames Foley family connecting our Nancy Foley who married Spencer Lehew, as the daughter of James Foley (died 1797 in Fauquier Co. VA) and wife Mary Young.

However, the will of said James filed in Fauquier Co. VA does not name her as a daughter. Nor named this researchers ancestor Moses Foley married to Elizabeth Green.

I hope all is correct, but time will tell.

Joan Addison DNA sample found on Family Tree DNA. I show Chromsome #14 for 15.32 and my son hangs in with #14 12.34

Our common ancestry Thomas Branson & Elizabeth Day back 8th generations. Brandan back another generations.

Researcher Wills_James is also descend of Jared Branson.

I afraid I disagree with the line of descend they have for their lines. If interested Ancestry Tree has the line of our emigrated back another generation in England under tree Branson-Foster. If correct I do not know.

I believe Jared Branson must come from son Joseph. Here is what I know about children of the emigrate Thomas. I have not updated my notes on the families of Ann Elizabeth Lehew since 1991. But now I am collecting DNA information posting that to my notes and here.

1. Thomas Branson (1671-1744 NJ) m. Elizabeth Day, copy of his will in that location, really only interested in listing information about the sons:

Second Generation
2. Elizabeth Branson m. Wm. Rogers

3. David Branson m. 1738 NJ to Mary Bullock. I have the names of their children no Jared and they stayed in NJ.

4. Thomas Branson m. c1730 to Rebecca Borden, his line removed down to NC. had two sons: Levi & Eli, members of Cane Creek MM NC, Yes I have Borden as well in my DNA pool. I do not see additional bits of DNA that above researcher also has Borden.

5. JOSEPH BRANSON m. 18 Mar 1745 Burlington Co. NJ to Mary Edge, this couple I have no more information, believe the only place for Jared Branson born 1753

6. John Branson m-1 Isabella.........? m-2 6 Dec 1748 NJ to Martha Antrim, John & Martha left wills in Frederick Co. VA. John only son was Thomas. We have Antrim ancestry in my DNA pool.

7. Jonathan Branson b. 20 Sep 1720 Monmouth Co. NJ m. 7 Apr 1746 Alice Atkinson, d. 16 Mar 1799 Monmouth Co. NJ I have the names of their son no Jared, they remained in NJ. His is the only firm birth date for Thomas' children.

8. Mary Branson m. Zachariah Robins

9. Day Branson m. 22 Sep 1755 Swedes Church, Phil. PA to Christina Anderson. Ancestry as copy of secondary text on line. I have no further information about this couple. Given their marriage date (unless he married earlier) Jared born 1753 to early to be their son

10. Sarah Branson m. 2 Feb 1744 to Joshua Owin

11. Lionel Branson Sr. m. 1 Nov 1749 NJ to Rebecca Rogers, d. 1811 Frederick Co. VA. This is mine & Michael L. McKay double line of Branson. I know not my line.

12. Wm. Branson m. 11 Apr 1753 VA to Elizabeth Osmond.
They stayed in VA. Not their line. I have names of their children.

Researcher continue to record Thomas's two son John & Day as John Day Branson. I do not know where they get his name as Thomas L. Branson. No middle name.

I think the two researchers need to look at

1. Thomas Branson m. Elizabeth Day their son
2. Joseph Branson m. 1745 NJ to Mary Edge
3. Jared Branson

Might see about reading up on Edge Family. Believe another Quaker family.

Good luck with your research. Comments, questions or complains just post your questions.

Found on Ancestry researcher "J.G.H." his line from Nicholas Lehew to only son Peter Lehew to his son Francis Lehew. Michael & I descend from another son Spencer.

So be about 7th cousin. If you descend from Nicholas Lehew of France and VA, there are a lot of entries filed in Ancestry and a few in Family Tree DNA.

If a male Y test as been done, I do not know.
