I came across this website after doing a little poking around on the Du Bois family because the section of the Steer Genealogy I'm currently adding to the website intermarried with the family of David & Sarah (Hite) Brown. Sarah is given as being descended from the Van Meter and Du Bois families. Thought I'd post it and hear your thoughts on it:

Found Ancestry DNA Family Finder researcher "W.(.MB.) he descend from Chretien DuBois (1597-1655) and wife Jeanne Masic Brunel (sic) through daughter Francoise DuBois (1622FR-1695NY). We have a double line from their son Louis.

I have found other Family Finder with DuBois surname who left France from Canada. If other research have really done research in France, I have no idea with correct.

His line found page 224 of my book dealing with blood lines of Anne Elizabeth Lehew who married T.B. McKay

All my DNA matches that I found with this surname and all others can be view by clicking on my DNA profile found on my Ancestry Tree.

I have had matches with researchers who claim to be descends of DuBois who stayed in Frances and then removed to Canada. Since I have not seen others posting these kind of matches, I have not bothered. These are kits like Mackay/McKay that I am reaching back 10th to 12th generations. I would like to know if others are finding these same reach of DNA matches.
Ancestry "middleboy" researchers lives in MA his tree lines in Ireland or Canada long after my blood lines lived in American Colonies.

Descend of Marie Amable Dubois born c1754 her daughter married in Canada.

I have no idea why these distant cousin show up but then known 6th or 7th cousin do not match !!
