Basically whatever can be found on her ancestors, aunts, uncles & cousins.
Whatever I can use to link the Ritenour obituaries. I believe I have Robinson ancestry through this line. Not the same Robinsons as on my dad's side.

I believe Handley Library have a complete set of my Frederick Co. VA Land Deeds Books , which are full of Ritenour information. And check out my three books dealing with Frederick Co. VA Wills.

Found Frederick Co. VA Wills Book 11,508, dated 4 Dec 1819,proven 4 Nov 1823, will of Michael Ritenour, named as his wife Catherine to enjoy their farm with all its contents, a second tract to be divided among their 10 children: Nancy Sample, Catherine Albin, Margaret Kern, Elizabeth Little, Polly Little, Christiana Thomas, DANIEL RITENOUR, Sarah Little, Susannah Ritenour & Michael P. Ritenour, Exrs: Samuel Sample (son-in-law)& Wm. Albin (son-in-law), Wit: Joseph Thomas & Susannah Ritenour, Securities: Philip Hoover & Adam Kerns.
Some of the daughters' marriages are listed in John Vogt's marriage book for Frederick Co. VA.
The couple Michael P. & his wife Catherine Ritenour sell their portion of father's estate in 1832, stated they were living in Shenandoah Co. VA. In this deed stated that his late father's farm containing @375a and about 2 miles east of Newtown.
Looks like the above Daniel, was same man listed in land deed Book 60,319, dated 25 Oct 1832 "Daniel B. Ritenour & his wife Elizabeth of Frederick Co. VA sell to Adam Kern for $200 their 1/10 share of his father's Michael Ritenour's plantation, being 1/10 part."
There is a marriage listed "Daniel Rittenour & Elizabeth Drake 28 Feb 1818"
He could be your Daniel who was married more than once. I see a Daniel Ritenour on 1880 Shenandoah Co. VA age 74 with wife Frances 65. With two married sons: Atwell & Isaac R. with their wives.
In an earlier inventory dated 6 Dec 1802 a George Ritenour filed the report dealing with John McCown's estate.
Any of the above names sound familar ?

From Frederick Co. VA Wills a George Ritenour's will filed in 1849 in Frederick Co. VA, included in my Frederick Co. VA Will Books (three in number). In his will mentioned his mother Margaret and his brother Elisha P. Ritenour and one of his son Charles M.
From 1860 & 1870 census and one item from Frederick Co. VA Death Registry, we have the beginning of his family group. I do not know if the public library will have Elisha P.'s death record.
Elisha P. Ritenour born 1810 in VA, his wife Margaret R. born 1814 in PA, their children: George H. Ritenour 1839 in VA, Emma C. Ritenour 1841 VA, Laura E. Ritenour b. 1843 VA, Charles M. Ritenour 1847, Sarah C. Ritenour b. 1848, d. 12 Apr 1855 in Stephensburg, Frederick Co. VA, Margaret A. Ritenour 1850 VA, Noah Ritenour 1853 VA, Clarence H. Ritenour 14 Feb 1856, Mary V. Ritenour Apr 1857.
I would think they should tie into your group of Ritenour. Perhaps some additional information you have will tie them together.

Your Amelia Ritenour's marriage record has she was the daughter of Daniel & Mary Ritenour. Unless there were two Daniel Ritenour one married to a Mary and the other to Frances, I think your Amelia will have more half-brothers & sisters, than whole siblings.
Her husband John Mumaw, found 1850 Frederick Co. VA census as: Margaret Muma born 1794, John born 1828, two siblings: Susan 20 years & Wm. 18 years.
A lot of different spellings for your surname, or a lot of different families living in the same area.
From his first marriage with Mary (can't find her maiden name) had Amelia/Emilia born 15 Apr 1830 married to your John Wm. Mumaw.
Sophia Ritenour b. 1834 married 15 May 1851 in Shenandoah Co. VA Jackson Steed. I think she was the full sister of your Amelia. I can't find others at the moment. Her father given as Daniel.
From 1850, 1860, 1870 & 1880 census and marriage records for Shenandoah Co. VA Daniel & his wife Frances b. 1815 VA had at least eight children:
1. Joel Wm. Ritenour b. 1835 m. 1 Jan 1860 to Martha Ann Shuff
2. Anna Ritenour b. 1841
3. George A. Ritenour b. 1845
4. Daniel M. Ritenour b. 1847
5. Samuel Ritenour b. 1848
6. Atwell Ritenour b. 1850 m. 21 Oct 1877 Lucy A. Bauserman
7. Franklin P. Ritenour b. 1853, m. 20 Sep 1877 Julia Ann Good
8. Isaac R. Ritenour b. 1856 m. 22 Nov 1879 Anna E.S. Reedy
I have not found off hand the names of your Daniel's parents or siblings.
Question does this family have various spellings of the surname: Rittenour, Ritenour & Ridenour ?

It's entirely possible. All I had to go on was Amelia's parents names from her marriage to John Mumaw.
It's because of this lack of information I haven't been able to connect the different Ritenour obituaries I have.
Yes, the name has several spellings like Mumaw. Ridenour and Rittenour are a couple.

So you are starting at ground Zero, right. I have seen Muma (ect) in Frederick Co. MD.
I do not know if your Daniel Ritenour might have is death recorded in some of the Shenandoah Co. VA Death Registry. It is on list of films to order, but months in the future. I am assuming the family was German.
The films dealing with VA Death Certificates, might be helpful. Just will have to wait to see.

Maumaw I have found in Frederick Co. MD and I might run into them researching my Shipp family later this month or next month.
It might turn out they came from the same location as the Shipp in Germany.
I have also found Balsar Sower/Saucer in Frederick Co. Maryland, the later shows up in Shenandoah Co. VA.
Ridenour I thought was connected with my Shipp family in some matter.
What particular couple and marriage are you looking?
Glad to see you have updated your Smith page.
Shenandoah Co.VA Land Deed Book V,68, dated 17 Feb 1814, proven 10 May 1814, Adam RIDENOUR & Jacob Ridenour of Frederick Co. MARYLAND both sons of George Ridenour who died without a will in Shenandoah Co. VA. They are selling their share of a tract containing 197a in Shenandoah Co. VA which had been sold to said George Ridenour by Lord Thomas Fairfax.
Selling it to an Adam Ridenour of Shenandoah Co. VA, does not state their relationship.
