James Verinon & his wife Hester Brown had three sons: Robert, Randall & Thomas
Researcher Scott Allen Hopkins and I decend from a different brother, he from Robert and I from Thomas Vernon.
Since we also share Lippincott and Wright ancestors, I can not really confirm by link from Thomas to Elizabeth Vernon who married Andrew Jobe. Their daughter Patience Jobe married Robert Mackay Jr.
He placed on Ancestry Tree the Vernon blood line back nine more generations into 1400's and one of the female lines DePype back 1260's.
Thirteen other researchers have also posted the same information, however I suspect they just copied the same information.
I recall a history TV program showing a castle in connection with Manners Family and there was with that family the Vernons.
Some researchers have recorded a connection with Vernons with George Washington, but I do not know if true or not.
Researcher "fairlilac" tree My Family File descend from Caleb Jobe who was a brother to my Patience Jobe who married Robert Mackay Jr. This bit of DNA goes into my three Jacob Mackay line down to Thomas Buck McKay.
My Mckay cousin who descend from Robert's siblings who also married into Jobe family should also match with this researcher.

Ancestry DNA researcher "natlorxai" looking for the parentage of George Stockton born 1787 PA died 1865 Ross Co. OH married to Barbara Anne Platter (1702-1867). Others have placed "Fine a Grave" their grave markers.
Other have his line back to the emigrate Richard this line through son Robert. My line through daughter Abigail. So we share this Stockton DNA. Could be our only match.
I do not think her Owen is the same as mine.
She does have the same Edwards Family of Wales and early VA. She is looking for parentage of Mary Nancy Edwards born 1750 Bedford Co. VA died 1837 Washington Co. TN married to Capt. Christopher Taylor.
Her line I believe from Joshua Edwards, mine from other son of the same couple.
Her Taylor line, not the same as my Chapman Taylor. I am not sure if I have the family through my Duke Family or not. Information about this group of Taylor found in Mary Taylor Brewer's book "From Log Cabins to the White House." This is the same group who claim descend from Dr. Rowland Taylor, who was burned at the stake during the reign of Queen Mary.
Researcher "tbirchfield150" our common ancestor the emigrate Richard Stockton her through son Richard Jr.
She also has Hunt surname in early VA could be linked with that line.

Ancestry DNA Project has two Vernon researchers who share DNA with me. Both descend from James Vernon's son Robert Vernon & his wife Elinor Minshall.
"Judi695" descend from son Thomas Vernon (1686-1758) married Mary Brown.
"Denise Leake" descend from son Isaac Vernon (1682-1757) married Hannah Williams
Researcher "billandsarahjohnson" tree Collins Family Tree descend from James & Hester (Brown) Vernon through their son Robert and I through son Thomas. This bit of DNA finds it way down to Thomas Buck McKay.

Researcher "mamsas89" descend of James Vernon & Hester Brown through son Robert. I descend from their other son Thomas who married E. Maxwell their daughter Elizabeth married Andrew Jobe and their daughter Patience married Robert Mackay Jr. (his first wife mother of his children). I have two lines from this couple Jacob and John McKay. This bit of DNA found in both Charles E. McKay and his wife Etta Double Sowers.

Found Ancestry DNA site sample given by "rrogers907" we are both descends of Samuel Taylor & Susannah Horseman, she daughter of Marmduke & Frances Horseman. His line from their son John and our from Frances Taylor who married John Scholey their daughter Rebecca Scholey who married Joseph Wright. Their daughter Elizabeth Wright married Jacob McKay Jr.
Researcher "DeniseRimercabak" tree Denise's Family Tree, descend from Marmaduke Horseman Sr. & wife Frances their son Marmaduke Jr. & his wife Sarah Wood their daughter Abigail Horseman who married Wm. Bunting.
Most likely my husband also her distant cousin through Bunting.
This bit of DNA went from Horseman to Taylor to Scholey to the person of Elizabeth Wright who married Jacob Mackay Jr. their one son Jacob McKay III buried in Nineveh Cemetery, Warren Co. VA

Ancestry DNA Project researcher "craynetrudell" descend of Thomas D. Antrim born 1776 VA and died 1853 in IN married in Green Co. TN Rachel Fry.
Researcher needs to do some library work to link up with emigrate.
Researcher "dna299" descend of John & Frances (Butcher) Antrim through their son John and I descend from their son Thomas. This bit of DNA goes into Elizabeth Antrim blood lines who married Jacob McKay of Warren Co. VA.

My Vernon line into Jobe and Patience Jobe married Robert Mackay Jr. and I have a double line from this couple through Jacob and John.
Jacob's comes down to me through Charles E. McKay and John's comes down to me through Etta Double Sowers (wife of said C.E. McKay).
