Lori Stark descend of Manning Bowling and wife Mary Mangum their daughter Nancy Bowling who married Lemuel Wilkerson. I have also Mangum ancestry. The Wilkerson family intermarried with other Bowling members. Hits on #4 8.26
Ancestry DNA Family Finder researcher "als8221" a descend of Manning's son through Wiley Bowling born 1802 GA died 1876 MS married Holly Hicks.
This group of Bolling/Bolen/Boland called GROUP THREE. Check Family Tree DNA Bolling Project. Many Y marker kits supplied the set of numbers which go back to Wm. Boland of England to Somerset Co. MD. I have a number of Family Finder matches with various lines of my Bolen Family.
People are still linking our group of Bolen to Group One or Group Two. I have not found one of my distant Bolen cousin who have picked up our correct line of descend.

Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "vipervols1" descend of Daniel Ball born 30 Oct 1745 Middlesex Co. VA died 29 Sep 1794 VA married to Elizabeth Osborne. He does not give parentage of his line.
His Daniel son of Daniel and he son of Edward Ball & Keziah Osborne. Believe I have three DNA matches for his line.
If you believe you are member of this group of Ball Family in early VA, plenty of samples on file with Ancestry & Family Tree DNA. Or if you are researching Ball Family in VA, doing DNA test is a must.
Found on Ancestry Tree DNA Family Finder researcher "Ishouldice1962" descend of Edward & Keziah (Osborne) Ball both most likely the emigrates. He descend from older son Daniel born 1713 died 1794 Granville Co. NC married Sarah Hackney.
He has incorrect information linked to his Ball Family of Middlesex Co. VA.

Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "BML" descend of Jabez Murray born & died Baltimore, MD 1699-1761 married Mary Wheeler. Does not give parentage.
I know that my ancestors James Murray & wife Jemima Morgan had: Josephus, Morgan, Zipparah (mine), Mellchezadeck, Jabez (BML), Jemima & Kezia.
All married so I could have many distant cousins.
Ancestry DNA Family Finder has researcher "Elaine Townsely" descend of James Murray born in England 1665 died Baltimore, MD 1704 grave site on line wife Jemima Morgan daughter of Thomas her grave on line as well. People have linked this man with Lord Murray of Scotland--WRONG.
She descend from couple's son Jabez and I though daughter Zipparah Murray who married into Gist Family.

Found on Ancestry DNA web site. I have had for some time the believed line of my Martha Mangum wife of John Bowling.
One DNA sample might start to prove the blood line: John (married to Frances Bennett) to Wm. (married to Mary Person) to Joseph Mangum (wife still unknown looking at Yancey).
I believed Joseph was the father of my Martha, but was not sure enough to posted the information on line. I like to be sure.
I would like to find additional samples from Joseph's known sons.
The eight Mangum samples just show me there was a DNA link among some of the known Mangum living in Granville or Orance Co. N.C. This being a good thing. A number of Mangum men Y markers are being showed to really be Duke.
The sample that caught my eye was Inell McMillon's sample filed under Person family. She descend from John Person & Mary Partridge through their daughter Mary Person (1698-1769) who married 1718 to John Rackley.
The problem is that numerous researchers have taken her Mary Person and marry her to our Wm. Mangum. They have given her a great family tree, problem is I believe it is all wrong.
Only one researcher gave the parentage as Job & Sarah Person.
I will continue to look in the future for more matches.
Found Ancestry DNA Family Finder researchers "Terry577" and "edwinacg65" both descend from Wm. and wife Mary (Person) Mangum through their son James Mangum.

Found Ancestry DNA Project sample supply by "Charlesfield10" descend of John Jack Bowling born 1790 Greenbrier VA/WV died 1874 Clay, KY married to Sally.......? born 1801-1853.
He does not give parentage for his line. Other Ancestry Tree supplied the information to link his line with mine.
If researchers would just look at the Family Tree DNA Project Bolling, his line from Benj. Bowling (Group 3) at least 14 Y marker test clearly show this group of Bowling/ Boling etc....no WAY related to the family of Col. Robert Bolling of early VA.
His line Benj. Boling (1734-1832) m. Martha Phelps their son
Wm. Bowling (1755-1830) m. Sarah Fugate son
John Jack Bowling.
His Benjamin brother to my John Bowling (c1730 MD) married to Elizabeth.........?
There is plenty of DNA evidence supporting various lines of this group of Bowling.
Researcher "stwall1234" his tree Wallace Family Tree has a double line of descend from Benj. Bolling and Mary Phelps through sons: James and Wm. Bowling.
Incorrect information linking his two lines to Col. Robert Bolling of VA. Not a big surprise.
Again these lines of Bolling/Boland/Bolen are members of GROUP THREE.

On Ancestry DNA Project researcher "Denise Macy" tree Denise Carpenter & Charles Macey Tree descend of Stephen Shipman born 1765 KY married Margaret Garrett (daughter of John) marriage record Shelby Co. KY public.
I do not see her line of my direct line ie son of Jacob Shipman. His brother Daniel just had daughter, so think the researcher want to look at Jacob's older brother Edward Shipman who married Elizabeth Merrell. Her maiden name might be rather easy to find, if others from her family has done a DNA test.
This DNA material goes into Fredonia Jane Derryberry's profile again through her mother's side nothing from Derryberry.

Check to see if you match with other Merrell researchers. I have posted all other Shipman cousins I have matched and you should check to see if you are matching the same. My tree is public on Ancestry The Buck Family Tree and my DNA matches with Ancestry is offered to others.

Ancestry Family Finder DNA descend "bluebirdjp" descend of Lousanna Bowling born 1780 died 1820 married to Edward Sizemore, she daughter of Wm. who married Sarah Fugate he son of Benj. Bowling married to Martha P. Phelps. Lots of Y marker filed with Family Tree DNA on public site and I lots of Family Finder matches with this line of the family.
People are placing the wrong parentage of Benj. as being from Col. Robert Bollings of VA family.

Researcher "Lunderwood1225" found Ancestry DNA Project descend of couple Peter & Elizabeth (Fielding) Rucker through their daughter Margaret Rucker who married Isaac Tinsley. Now we have five samples from this line.

Ancestry DNA Project researcher "MV" tree Vaughan Family Tree descend of John Hampton Jr. with first wife Isabell Redford through their daughter Isbella Hampton married first to Wm. Johnston their daughter Margaret Hampton (1737-1806) married David Castleman. This is the same Castleman family intermarried with our Mckay family.
Others researchers claim Wm. Johnston was the same as mine of Frederick Co. VA, but I do not see the link.
Ancestry DNA Family Finder "jc2738" tree called Jennifer Cook Family descend of Wm. Castleman who married Massie Osbourne, son of Wm. Castleman wife of Margaret Johnston. She daughter of Isabell Hampton who married Wm. Johnston. Said Isabell Hampton daughter of John Hampton Jr. and his wife Isabell Redford.
