Researchers can go to Carrington Website kit #246929 submitted by a distant Carrington cousin. I descend from Ephramin & he from Nathaniel Carrington, sons of John Carrington of Orange Co. NC.
I believe pictures of Nathaniel Carrington can be found on the net.
Hope other Carrington of TN will do the test.
Family Finder Testing which test our autosomal DNA, my sample is to be posted 13 Mar 2013.
Researcher T.A. tree Knapp-Anderson Tree most of the lines from VT or NY. Looking for the parentage of James Carrington born 1804 SC (sic) died 1851 Roane Co. TN married to Elizabeth James through their son Thomas J. Carrington who married Sarah C.P. Simmonds.
I believe this line comes from John Carrington Sr.'s one of his two younger sons: John or Thomas Carrington. They disappeared from Orange Co. NC where as his others sons remained in NC later.
John Sr. son James did have a son named James but he was born in NC about 1799. Know not from lines of George, Ephraim (mine) or Nathaniel. Leaving sons: Thomas & John.
Perhaps some thing will turn up in the future.

Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "debradockstader" has a double line of the Brown Family of Nottingham Meeting House now in MD. Two brothers Wm. (married to Anne Mercer--mine line) and brother James Brown (married to Honour Clayton).
She descends from David Brown born 1731 Chester Co. PA died 1781 Howard Co. MD. He son of Mercer Messer Brown son of said Wm.
Her line also has Sarah Brown daughter of Joshua & Hannah (Gatchell) Brown from the line of said James Brown.
It is the above James & Honour (Clayton) Brown who researchers have incorrectly named as the parents of our Anne Brown wife of Robert Mackay Sr.
I see no other blood line in common with this researcher. Because she took the time to do DNA test and make the results public I can confirm I have the correct parentage for my Elizabeth Brown (1780-c1782) wife of Isaac Morris of Henderson Co. TN.
Researcher IRG tree Kurtz Family Tree descend of James Brown & Honour Clayton through their son Wm.
This link would be on my mother's most female line.
Also a distant Stockton cousin going down my father's side of the tree on McKay side. Descend of Richard & Abigail Stockton through son Richard who married S.W. Robinson. His tree has Stockton line back two more generations in England and additional information other female line. I have no idea if correct.

This bit of DNA material goes from Rucker into Cooke to Rust to Hampton to King. Making up my great-grandfather Joseph H. King blood lines.

Noland (sic) Hampton sold his slave Jack (@17 years of age) for $421 in Carroll Co. TN to Nicholas H. Darnel of Carroll Co. TN on 15 Apr 1832.
I believe said Noland Hampton bought the slave from NC into TN. I want to try to link him to his father's estate Zachariah Hampton through said slave.
Noland Hampton and his son Noah Hampton used as collateral their slave named Tom (value $225) to secure their debt due to Haywood Cozart. Said Noland Hampton was deceased by 1850. His son Noah on 1850 Carroll Co. TN census.
The only Hampton as slave owner in Carroll Co. TN was Noah's son James Hampton. I do not know why 11 slaves were listed as his slaves' and not his father's estate.
In any case, I have found the early Carroll Co. TN land deeds are full of buying & selling of slaves in this region of TN. Therefore, a gold mine for African-American researchers.
Researcher "astrochuck11" tree Hanson Family Tree descend of Noland & Winfred (Cozart) Hampton through youngest son Elvis Bonaparte Hampton. Married twice recorded to his records. His line from Martha Hampton?
We also share Cozart and the other female lines. He has picked up some old incorrect information about the Bumpass family.
Also has the wrong Andrew has ancestor with maiden names of Wright & Kuykendall which are incorrect.
But I am glad I have his DNA sample in the bank. I work around the incorrect paper information which researchers continue to copy from others trees.

Found on Family Tree DNA Project Carol E.S. Basile and I share a very small piece of DNA #4 8.58.
I had want her Hand ancestry, but since we share just this one piece and afraid the link is with Hampton Family of Scotland & early NJ.
She is looking for the parentage of Wm. Hampton 1741-1820 born & died in NJ married to Barbara Forrest.
I believe her line is as follows:
1. Andrew Hampton the emigrate married in Scotland to Margaret Cuminen. I descend from his brother John Hampton and I have had many matches with his descends.
2. John Hampton born c1685 I do not have name of his wife another researcher on line has a John Hampton as father of her line.
3. Wm. Hampton b. 1741 died 1820 married Barbara Forrest.
This researcher might find matches with members of Cuminen Family (various spelling) I believe some of her family removed to NJ as well.
Beware people on line have mixed together the small group in NJ with the ones living in VA. Some people like to play the game "Pick a Hampton".
Reseacher "LisaA_Armstrong" descend of Mary Hampton born 1740NJ died 1791 PA married Jonathan Riggs.Believe she belongs to this line. Not on my direct line.

Found on Ancestry DNA site researcher "Danny Richter 1961" descend of Hannah Anna Shipman born 1780 Rutherford Co. NC died 1860 AL married to John R. Reed.
I know she does not belong to my direct line of Shipman: Jacob born 1780 died 1850 TN husband to Nancy Denton.
I believe this researcher should look at Edward Shipman who died 1794 Rutherford Co. NC. He was married to Elizabeth Merrell, so Autosomal Matches for that surname should be looked into.
All the rest of my Shipman DNA matches on my direct line, so I would be interested in figuring out this line.
Researcher "BeBoenisch04" Ancestry DNA Project descend of Christina Shipman who married Spencer Altom. Others tree name her line as belonging to Daniel Jr. who married Elizabeth McMinn. He the son of emigrate Daniel Shipman who married Elizabeth Burleson.
My line from son Jacob Shipman.
My John R. Shipman's daughter also married into the same family.
I do not know why some researchers have emigrate Daniel from Germany??? I am really only interested in finding the DNA match. I do not try to figure out the information people have placed on their trees.

Found in Ancestry DNA project "hutzler 81" descend of Janet Hampton b. 1668 in Scotland married Robert Rhea.
Her father John Hampton had nine children: Janet (1 kit), Elizabeth, Lydia (2 kits), John (2 kits), David, Andrew (3 kits), Jonathan, Noah (4 kits) & Joseph.
I would like to find out more about David Hampton if he removed to present day WV.
Researcher "jb" descend of Janet Bizet Hampton born 1668 Scotland died 1761 NJ married to Robert Rhea. I have not seen the documentation that she had a middle name. This researcher gives the name of John Hampton Sr.'s first wife as Jean Riggs (1647-1674). Could be true I could not find this marriage in the films I order from L.D.S. library Scottish Records.
As far as John Hampton Sr.'s father name only source secondary that his father was also named John. This researcher gives his name as John James Hampton born 1617 Scotland died 1720 Scotland married to Jenet.....? He the son of Wm. A. Hampton from England he the son of Laurence Hampton of Twickenham, Middlesex England. Could be true, but would like to see documentation.
