Ancestry DNA project researcher "Kjadler24" descend from Jacob Derryberry to Michael Derryberry, she has inccorect information bring back her line to early VA. Our shared DNA material not linked to surname Derryberry.
She is looking for Hannah Gorsuch born 1718 MD died 1800. Might have a link to my Todd & Gorsuch linked with the ancestry of my Robert Baylor. She has a number generation back in time to link with mine.
She also descend of Ann Maria Haas and I have that surname in my tree as well.
Her Snyder might be linked with my group as well.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "MFS" (Myers-Rogers-Smoot-Shirley Family TN) descends from Jacob Derryberry to son Michael A. Derryberry. I do not know if the documentation for Jacob's wife being Christiana Barnhart has been sorted out or not.
I would ***-u-me if a researcher has spend his or her money doing a DNA test. They would understand the meanings of these tests. Derryberry researchers who claim descend from the family living in Burke Co. NC removed to Maury Co. TN & Henderson Co. TN. Check out on Family Tree DNA project "Durrenberger Family" which clearly links by DNA these people with Germans who arrived first NJ or PA then down to NC.
Terry W. Derryberry descend from Jacob Derryberry
Bob Derryberry descend from Daniel Derryberry of Henderson Co. TN.
Donald R. Derryberry descend from Thomas Derryberry of Henderson Co. TN
Bob Derryberry from Adam Derryberry of Maury Co. TN
Andy Lynn Derryberry from that line as well
There is another descend of Jacob on Ancestry. Last time I looked. Wallace Derryberry.
Once again the blood line of Henry Derryberry of early VA had son George but he died without issue. This information was first put into print by ME and send one other Derryberry researcher who must have send the information to Bob Derryberry. Without my consent printed the information as possible ancestors of Burke Co. NC Derryberry. Well that theory has been put on line as FACT. Now people who put this information in their tree, must know they have no documentation, because again it was a theory first put in print by ME.
All four of the above men also have their DNA in Family Tree DNA "Family Finder" site and they do not all match with each other. I think common male link between these men of early Burke Co. NC and the ones who stayed in NJ was back in Germany or Switzerland. Again as far as I know firm documentation linking the Derryberry men of Burke Co. NC as brothers or cousins has not been found. Just because you can now find Bob Derryberry's book "free" on line does not mean the material is correct.
So the link on Ancestry between "MFS" and myself is not with DERRYBERRY, but Glascock, we are both descends of Thomas Glascock & Jane Juet. She descend through son Gregory and I though son Thomas.
She is a descend of Col. W. Overton & Mary Elizabeth Waters. I have Overton of this location but need additional generations.
She also looking for parentage of Elizabeth Duke (1673-1716) b. & d. Surrey Co. VA married James Mason. Most likely also a distant cousin with this line.
She also has Smallwood of MD, which other researchers think Ledstone S. Cooksey's mother member of this family. I have not been able to find the link.
Also descend of Wm. Strother (1696-1732) & Margaret Watts (1700-1755) Michael I believe related to this family. I do not know if she has placed her sample on Family History DNA.
Also has surnames Swann & Cary which I am looking for links with other branches of my families.
DNA evidence is public for Derryberry, just have to use it!!.
