Found Ancestry DNA match researcher "lynntentou" descends from Wm. Brown (1658 England-1746 MD/PA) his son Mercer Brown 1685-1733 his son Mercer Brown 1717-1795.
I descend from brother of Mercer Sr. This Brown Family line goes through my mother's side of my tree.
These are the Brown family some Mackay Researchers have the wife of Robert Mackay Sr.--Anne Brown linked. Just plain wrong. This Brown Line goes down through my father's side of my tree.
I am still waiting for a DNA match with some researchers who have traced their lines back to early NJ or MA with Brown. Most likely of Scottish ancestry.
For those researcher who claim Hampton ancestry through John Hampton and his wife Martha Brown, daughter of Abraham. I have four matches with Brown researchers who descend from Abraham's brother. If you descend from said John Hampton & Martha Brown you should also have these matches.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "debradockstader" has a double line of the Brown Family of Nottingham Meeting House now in MD. Two brothers Wm. (married to Anne Mercer--mine line) and brother James Brown (married to Honour Clayton).
She descends from David Brown born 1731 Chester Co. PA died 1781 Howard Co. MD. He son of Mercer Messer Brown son of said Wm.
Her line also has Sarah Brown daughter of Joshua & Hannah (Gatchell) Brown from the line of said James Brown.
It is the above James & Honour (Clayton) Brown who researchers have incorrectly named as the parents of our Anne Brown wife of Robert Mackay Sr.
I see no other blood line in common with this researcher. Because she took the time to do DNA test and make the results public I can confirm I have the correct parentage for my Elizabeth Brown (1780-c1782) wife of Isaac Morris of Henderson Co. TN.

Researchers can go to Carrington Website kit #246929 submitted by a distant Carrington cousin. I descend from Ephramin & he from Nathaniel Carrington, sons of John Carrington of Orange Co. NC.
I believe pictures of Nathaniel Carrington can be found on the net.
Hope other Carrington of TN will do the test.
Family Finder Testing which test our autosomal DNA, my sample is to be posted 13 Mar 2013.

Ancestry DNA researcher "MH" descend of Elizabeth Taylor born 1735 Caroline Co. VA died 1764 NC married Capt. James B. Lewis.
She does not have the parentage of Elizabeth Taylor. Some other sources her line:
1. Dr. Rowland Taylor m. Margaret Tyndale
2. Thomas Taylor m. Elizabeth Burwell
3. Thomas Taylor m. Margaret Swindlerly
4. John Taylor m. Elizabeth........? I now have six match
5. James Taylor m. Mary Gregory
6. John Taylor m. Catherine Pendleton
7. Elizabeth Taylor m. Capt. James B. Lewis
I descend from couple #4 through son Richard (have two other DNA Matche), John (two matches) &Thomas (one match)
She also has DNA match with my Ball emigrate ancestor Elizabeth & Keziah (Osbourne) Ball.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "Tiffany Owen" descend of James Taylor (1694-1772 NC) wife Dorcus Walter.
Her line descends from another line of Thomas & Margaret Taylor son John I from his son Richard and her from another son John.
I am also interested in her Stout ancestry. I am trying to rule in or out if Anne Brown wife of Robert MacKay was descend of Richard Stout of early Monmouth Co. NJ.
It could be--I am missing wives for my Hampton family of that location. That could be the link. If members of Robert Mackay family would check to see if they also have these Stout matches that would be helpful.

Found in Ancestry DNA project "hutzler 81" descend of Janet Hampton b. 1668 in Scotland married Robert Rhea.
Her father John Hampton had nine children: Janet (1 kit), Elizabeth, Lydia (2 kits), John (2 kits), David, Andrew (3 kits), Jonathan, Noah (4 kits) & Joseph.
I would like to find out more about David Hampton if he removed to present day WV.
From Ancestry DNA Project researcher "sharonelviraoh" descend of David Hampton born 1764 died 1842 KY married twice: Mary Johnson & Mary Nancy Bryan.
She has gotten hold of some old false information. I believe she wants to look at the following Hampton line.
1. John Hampton emigrate from Scotland
2. David Hampton born in Scotland died 1710 Monmouth Co. NJ married Mary.........? We know had two sons:
3. George Hampton born 1697 married Mary Hooten
or
3. David Hampton born 1700 married Mary Hutton removed to NC, named in will of Comins as son of David Hampton.
This researcher should check other DNA reports for Hooten, Hutton & Comins.
I am interested in the descends of this David Hampton, for I believe they could have had a link with my Branson Family of VA/WV.

Researcher "amysandvold" looking for the parentage of James C. Taylor born 1778 VA died 1866 KY married Nancy Olive Moore.
Other on Ancestry Trees have a James Francis Taylor married in Orange Co. VA to Frances Moore. But I think these are two different couples. James Francis is from the blood line of Dr. Rowland Taylor.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "John Morgan jr." looking for the parentage of Elizabeth Taylor born 1785 died 1860 VA married 1802 to John Haley.
I believe his line from this group of Taylor, for I do not see other surnames we could have in common. But need more information.

Found on Ancestry DNA researcher "FCW" descend of Sally Taylor born 1797 SC m. John Grizzle, d. 1859 Lumpkin, GA. She does not give her line back to Dr. Rowland Taylor.
1. Rowland Taylor
2. Thomas Taylor m. Elizabeth Burwell
3. Thomas Taylor m. Margaret Swinderly
She descend from their son Wm. and I descend from their son John. This bit of DNA goes into my Duke family into my Carrington family.
She also has a Jenkins family, but I do not think the same family as mine. Looking for Samuel Jenkins born 1740 Shenandoah Co. VA died 1796 married to Jane Williams.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "PKW." descend of Ann Taylor born 1684 Orange Co. NC died 1731 Spotyslvania Co. VA married John Lea.
She was the daughter of James & Mary (Gregory) Taylor he the son of John & Elizabeth Taylor who was the son of Thomas & Margaret (Swinderly).
Couple John & Elizabeth Taylor I now have (as May 2014) four of their known sons with six different Autsomal Matches.
All of these Taylor Autosomal DNA matches support my line down to Priscilla Duke (as having Taylor ancestry) who was the wife of Ephraim Carrington. DNA has proven that Sion Carrington, therefore, must be the biological son of said Priscilla Duke.
There is no question I am descend of Sion Carrington of Henderson Co. TN.

In the past I have viewed land deeds of Cecil Co. MD and David Hampton Jr. seemed to buy & sell land. I have ordered Book 8 to see in 1758 he sold his lands in Cecil Co. MD and I want to see if the records give the location where he removed. I suspect he & his son? will turn up in NC, either in Anson Co. NC or Granville Co. NC.
George the other son had no land deeds. Found in Monmouth Co. NJ land deed Book H, p. 61 16 Dec 1831 he is selling his lands devised to him by his father's David Hampton Sr. will. He is listed as being a Cordwainer living in Cecil Co. MD. His marriage on 8 Nov 1733 to Mary Hooten filed with early Anglican Church Records of Cecil Co. MD. I have ordered additional films which said to contain, birth, marriage & deaths for this particular church.
If these records contain the names of any of their children, particularity sons, might explain some of the Hampton living down in NC that researchers in the past have assigned to Andrew Hampton of Granville Co. NC.
Found on Ancestry DNA Project researcher "brianswanigan" descend of Elizabeth Hampton born 1733 Rowan Co. NC died 1796 married to Jacob Van Pool. He did not give ancestry.
Some information about his line false Ancestry Tree
His line:
1. John Hampton emigrate with wife Katherine Cludsley married in Scotland, removed to Freehold, Monmouth Co. NJ with son:
2. David Hampton died 1715 Freehold, Monmouth Co. NJ married Mary Comins
3. David Hampton lived in Cecil Co. MD married Mary Hutton (various spelling).
4. Elizabeth Hampton born 1733 Rowan Co.NC d. 1796 NC married Jacob Van Pool.
His researcher also descend of Richard Stout of early NJ. I am trying to find researcher who just have Stout ancestry in common with me.
So the shared DNA I have with this researcher might just be Hampton Family of early NJ.

Ancestry DNA file has sample submitted by P.A.T.L.
His line from Abraham Denton & wife Mary Odell through son Joseph Denton (1729-1800) married Ann Hogg their son Isaac Denton (1768-1858) married Rebecca Etheridge.
I descend from Abraham's other son Samuel. This touch is going back 10 generations from me.
His line link with Hogg, this family linked to McKay family. But he does not have McKay in his listing of names. He might share Etheridge ancestry with me way back on my father's father's side.
I have other Denton matches which I have not posted. If you are a descend of Rev. Richard Denton you should be finding these same matches. I do not have special DNA.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "toes2tango" descend of Phebe Denton wife of Wm. Plumlee/Plumley. She was the daughter of Abraham & Mary (Odell) Denton.
I descend from Abraham's son Samuel Denton.
She most likely also a Duke cousin.

I would like to find out more about David Hampton if he removed to present day WV.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "agapetonesuah" descend of Ezekiel Hampton (1738-1811) NC husband to Jane Griggs.
I believe he has the wrong line of descend for his Hampton should read:
1. John Hampton m. Janet.........? of Scotland his two sons: John & Andrew were the emigrates.
2. John Hampton m-2 Martha Brown, he should show matches with descendants of Nicholas Brown.
3. Noah Hampton m-1 Sarah.......? left a will in Hampshire Co. VA/WV 1775 had one son Andrew
4. Andrew Hampton m. Sarah.......? died c1780 Jefferson Co. GA.
5. Ezekiel Hampton m. Jane Griggs, he brother of my line from Zachariah. There are now two kits on this line.
He also a descend of Joshua Howard & wife Joannah O'Carroll.
