Ancestry tree has the work of "susanowen611" she brings back her VA Edwards Blood line back to King Henry VIII.

I do not see why my question "Do you have the Y Edwards Markers" is a question that can not be answered.

We now have DNA test which can solve the question was Richard Edwards "natural son" of King Henry VIII or Wm. Edwards.

Some researcher state that said Wm. Edwards' blood line goes back to the Kings of Wales, so had a more noble blood line that Owen Tudor.

Wm. Edwards who stayed in Wales had male issue. What are the Y markers of this particular Edwards Family ?

Just compare the two !! But stop posting information which you can not support.

Found Y Search entry 2GYUF or kit #145505 sample for Thomas Edwards born 1760 died 1823 Loudoun Co. VA.

If we can believe information filed with Ancestry Tree: Smith Family Tree & Harvey Family Tree has his line back to the group of Edwards of VA I descend.

I find it a problem that no other of the hundreds of other test results do not match his. Still need to find other males from this group have done the test to see what numbers they have.

There are a number of Edwards living in Wales and his do not match with any of them as well.

Two Y marker test results on file with Family Tree DNA both claim descend from Thomas Nathaniel Edwards, but show a different numbering pattern.

#243102 Ambrose Edwards 13,24,14,11,11,14,12,12,11,13,14,29
#145505 Thomas Edwards 13,23,14,11,12,15,12,12,11,13,13,29

Will continue to look for more test results. The Web Master for Edwards Project has not be helpful at all and their listing of test results not useful.

Wm. C. Bass & I are distant Bowling cousins. My great-grandmother Dessie Green Bolen & his Bethena Bowling (1821-1900) were 4th cousins

We share chromosome #6

Her family tree on Ancestry incorrectly connecting her Bowling line to Pocahontas. There are at least 11 Y markers given by male descendants of this line clearly showing not DNA match to males of John Bolling of early VA.
Found Ancestry DNA Project sample supply by "Charlesfield10" descend of John Jack Bowling born 1790 Greenbrier VA/WV died 1874 Clay, KY married to Sally.......? born 1801-1853.

He does not give parentage for his line. Other Ancestry Tree supplied the information to link his line with mine.

If researchers would just look at the Family Tree DNA Project Bolling, his line from Benj. Bowling (Group 3) at least 14 Y marker test clearly show this group of Bowling/ Boling etc....no WAY related to the family of Col. Robert Bolling of early VA.

His line Benj. Boling (1734-1832) m. Martha Phelps their son
Wm. Bowling (1755-1830) m. Sarah Fugate son
John Jack Bowling.

His Benjamin brother to my John Bowling (c1730 MD) married to Elizabeth.........?

There is plenty of DNA evidence supporting various lines of this group of Bowling.

If you think you might be a descend of Jacques Cossart Jr. the emigrate from Holland, died in NY. He had 7 children and two of his sons: David & Anthony (my two lines) have 16 samples on file through Ancestry DNA.

I am more interested in grandson Anthony Jr. and 10 of the samples filed by his descends. They lived in NC & or TN.
Ancestry DNA Project has sample supply by "hlatham118" he is my 7th cousin, both descend from Jacob Cossart & Jemima Williams. I descend from their son Benj. and he through son James Cozart.

If you think you have this family in your tree, just do DNA file with Ancestry or Family Tree DNA.

I just received an e-mail about my Edwards ancestory Gerrard Edwards.

My line from him:

1. Gerrard Edwards b. 1747, d. 1810 Morrisville, Fauquier Co. VA have a copy of his will, named as his wife Jemima and children: Benj., Elijah, Susanna, Milly & Wm. (my line).

2. Wm. Edwards b. 1787 Fauquier Co. VA, d. c1855 Fauquier Co. VA m. Maria Richards, their children: Frances M., Bushrod Payton (my line), James French & Wm. A. Edwards.

3. Bushrod P. Edwards b. 1822, m-1 his cousin Sophia Ann Richards (my line, m-2 Susan L. Rector, d. 1919 Warrenton Co. VA.

4. Mary Ella Edwards b. 1851, m. John Washington Ball, d. 26 Mar 1934 Washington, DC. Their children listed under another posting under children of John W. Ball.

The researcher is looking for the parentage of

Enoch Edwards b. 1804 m. Eliza.........? b. 1814 found on 1850 Fauquier Co. VA census with family of four children. I am guessing they removed out of the State of VA. I would try to find death records in connection with this group.

I have not been able to place this couple in my group of Edwards Family of Fauquier Co. VA.

I believe were several different Edwards Family living in Fauquier Co. VA.

When I first tried to find the ancestry of my Mary Ella I looked at Wesley Edwards & his wife Annsey Gladson, they had a daughter named Mary Julia born 1840, Sarah E. b. 1842, James A. b. 1843, Wm. H. Edwards b. 1844, Nancy Ann Edwards b. 1847, Alex. Marshall b. 1850, Lucy Frances b. 1854, Catherine Roberta b. 1855 & Virginia Anges b. 1858. I believe said Wesley was the son of Franklin Edwards b. c1775 married 12 Jun 1800 in Fauquier Co. VA to Nancy Linton. I have never been able to connect them with my group of Edwards.

If other can help her post a message here. I would hope a well run DNA study of the surname in VA could sort them out from each other.
Found Ancestry DNA Project sample researcher "srmcguire51" looking for parentage of Leonard Edwards born 1796 Orange Co. NC died 1863 married to Sarah McGhee (1799 TN-1835 IL)

I do not see other surnames in his listing that we might share DNA. McGhee I think linked to some of my TN families.

Other supplied his line to:

1. John Edwards born 1733 Wales died 1787 married to Hannah Aperby

2. Charles Edwards born 1768 VA died 1848 married Sarah Dugger. Parents of said Leonard.

Will be seeking out additional information about this line.

Found on Ancestry DNA project researcher "Glitter Crump" descend of Wm. Melton & wife Lettice White through their daughter Mildred Melton (1761-1820) married James Eubank, their son Thomas Melton Eubank.

I descend from said couple's daughter Sarah Melton who married her cousin John Melton.

A third DNA match from descend of their son Reuben, who has also send in his Y marker.

So from this couple we have three DNA matches, all coming down to the ancestry of Amanda E. Melton.
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "JoeMooneyham" descend of Celia Cely Melton born 1789 Rutherford Co. NC died 1850 same, wife of Wm. Davis.

This line her father Reuben Melton & Sarah Jones. Male descend of this line have Y marker test results posted on Family Tree DNA. He son of Wm. Melton & Lettice White. I descend from their daughter.

I have other Autosomal DNA matches from this line of Melton.

Researcher "LindaBauer87" descend of Edward Ball & wife Keziah Osborne through older son Edward. I descend from their youngest son Benj.

The parentage which she has posted about Edwards Sr. is false. We have the Y marker for this group of Ball. The Ball family associated with George Washington different letter "I".

This fact does not seem to stop our group of Ball Family Members trying to link us to the mother of George Washington.

She has two other surnames could be the same as mine:

Mathias Barber born 1720 died 1764 Sussex Co. NJ married to Jane Foster. My group of Barber married into my Lippincott of Monmouth Co. NJ. This is believe different group than the surname Barber in VA. Associated with Glascock Family.

Also looking for Riller Hutchinson born 11 May 1795 VA died 6 Jul 1860 Madison Co. TN married Nathaniel Coonse.

My Hutchinson from Wm. Hutchinson born 1604 Middlesex Co. VA and his descend married into my Jett Family of Fauquier Co. VA
Found Ancestry DNA Project researcher "vipervols1" descend of Daniel Ball born 30 Oct 1745 Middlesex Co. VA died 29 Sep 1794 VA married to Elizabeth Osborne. He does not give parentage of his line.

His Daniel son of Daniel and he son of Edward Ball & Keziah Osborne. Believe I have three DNA matches for his line.

If you believe you are member of this group of Ball Family in early VA, plenty of samples on file with Ancestry & Family Tree DNA. Or if you are researching Ball Family in VA, doing DNA test is a must.
