Received a letter from her about doing a book about her McKay ancestor "Cyle Parr McKay and the coming to Warren County and the life of the McKay there".

"I would like to know how I can get information on my dad and his father Oscar and mother Minnie. And siblings and their grandparents"

Well first I hope she will view your site and all the postings. She mentioned looking for pictures.

1. Hunter Branson McKay works on roll of films through L.D.S. library. But I have compiled far more information about her blood lines: McKay, Antrim, Lehew, Branson and allied families. I have believe his notes found Univ. of VA. His copy of Fairfax Land Suit on film or perhaps in book form at various libraries.

2. My "A Tabulated Genealogy of The Family of Robert and Ann (Brown) Mackay Sr." Copyright 1997, out of print try inter-library loan system.

3. Ancestors of Elizabeth Antrim, wife of Jacob McKay III. Has under one cover information concerning Antrim, Garwood (has Charlesmagne Blood Line) & Haines and additional information about allied families connected with the four groups. I have found additional information about her Foster & Borden families and those messages listed here. Out of print-try inter-library loan system.

4. Ancestry of Ann Elizabeth Lehew wife of Thomas Buck McKay has her Lehew, Branson, Millar, Dubois and other allied families. Out of print-try inter-library loan system.

5. Heritage Quest or Ancestry.com, as far as their census on line--great, but the latter's computer bank has been fowled with false information.

Our common ancestor would be Thomas Buck McKay and I hope she will consider getting her male family member to submit a D.N.A test.

Hopewell Friends is also a must have for people who are serious about researching the McKay family. Laura Hale's books are also worth trying to add to one's personal library.

She has visited the website before and inquired about the progress of the old McKay Home ruins. Of which I contacted Patrick Farris, president of the Warren Heritage Association, to see if he could briefly update us on the restoration efforts and he will provide me with some pamphlets to set out for anyone interested.

There are efforts being made to do something positive with this tragedy. Patrick Farris welcomes our input into this.
