The will of Catherine Grubs of Frederick Co. Va dated 17 Mar 1847, probated 21 May 1849, named members of the McKay family. The first wife of Robert S. McKay was Virginia Grubbs she died about 1827. Said Catherine's will named as her grandson Wm. F. McKay and his wife Mildred received money. Her great-grandchildren: Sarah V. & Henry C. McKay also named.
The other two sons of Robert S. McKay & Virginia Grubbs: Henry Clay McKay died 1845 and Robert Perry died 1844. So the only son left would have been the above Wm. F. McKay. He removed to MO.
