Frederick Co. VA Land Deed Book 45, page 421, dated 31 Mar 1822, probated 31 Mar 1822, Oliver Funston (African-American) indebted to Samuel Brown appointed John W. Miller of Winchester, VA as his trustee to hold certain named property as collateral to secure his debt.
There were two Oliver Funsten listed 1820 Frederick Co. VA. I do not know if he was related to Col. Oliver Funsten (1782-1826) he married Margaret McKay, daughter of Andrew McKay & Jane Ridgeway.
