The same kind of information can be found in my will books.

Federick Co. VA Land Deed Book 32,8, dated 1809,2 Apr 1810, couple Daniel Wade & his wife Isabella (relict of Samuel Wickersham) selling her dower property to John Pugh.

There was a Samuel Wickersham who was a member of Hopewell Meeting House, two references to same name in Hopewell History disowned for married out--1778 & 1809, don't know if same man.

This bit of information came from L.D.S.#0588700 Hampshire Co. VA Land Deeds 1757-1771, Samuel Hicks & Moses Hicks both of Frederick Co. VA appoint Mordecai Morgan of Frederick Co. VA their attoney to dispose of a land of land containing 161a situated in Hampshire Co. Not named in the deed, dated 8th Mar 1768, Gabriel Jones CC of court.

Both of the above men made their marks on the deed as "H".

Said Mary's dower rights to the estate of her late husband "Jeremiah Smith the second" late of Frederick Co. VA tract lying on both sides of Back Creek.

John Vogt's marriage book does not have a marriage between a Jeremiah Smith & Mary .......?.

Her second marriage with Morris Ellis, surname given as Smith

Morris Ellis & Mary Smith on 26 Apr 1801 (she was a widow, not her family name)

Frederick Co. VA Land Deed Book 35,310. Dated 13 Dec 1812, probated 4 Aug 1813, a Mahlon Clarke Taylor of NY had sold to George Noble a certain tract in Frederick Co. VA, failing to give him a proper title, property conveyed to his heir John Noble his heirs given as:

1. Eli Swearingen & his wife Mary Ann Noble (late Mary Ann Noble), their marriage is recorded in Frederick Co. VA.

2. Henry Stubblefield & his wife Catherine Alexandria Noble (late C.A. Noble)
3. George Noble
4. Alexander Noble
5. Emily Noble
6. Mary Ann Noble

I am interested to see a person named Taylor living in Frederick Co. VA who was from New York and not from VA. Said Mahlon Clarke Taylor was the heir of Mahlon Taylor formerly of New Jersey

So many people try to tie their Taylor Family of various parts of VA to the ones who lived in early Orange Co. VA, then in fact they are not related at all.
