I am looking for info about James BURCH who was born c 1774, married Barbara/Barbary/Barbara E. and died in Loudoun County, VA, in 1829. I have seen messages regarding hte Burch family refering to this website. Can anyone help?

The Burch family that this website deals with is a branch of the Sowers family, specifically Matilda Elizabeth Sowers & Hillary Gibson Burch and their descendants.

I do not know anything about Hillary Gibson Burch's parents so I don't know how or if he is related to your James Burch. From what you've sent it appears that James is around 52 years older than Hillary Gibson Burch.

Do you know if James Burch was from St. Mary, MD? That is the place of birth given for Hillary.

I would check Loudoun Co. VA records first. I really do not have plans to view those records. I believe the county as plenty of records available to read.

Might find your surname in Fairfax Co. VA to Charles Co. MD & St. Mary Co. MD.
