Yesterday I placed an order of five films at Fairfax Public Library.

1. Augusta Co. VA Land Deeds 1745-1801, hope to find evidence of our MacKay/Mckay family members and others. Looking for a fix on the death year of Margaret MacKay (Robert's last wife).

2. Augusta Co. VA Land Deeds 1748-1750 same as above,

3. Augusta Co. VA Will Book 1745-1753, looking for Robert Mackay's inventory.

4. Frederick Co. VA Chancey Causes 1778-1786

5. Frederick Co. VA Chancey Causes 1786-1791

In the future I plan to order the Frederick Co. VA Chancey Causes down to 1840's, in groups of five films.

Reel #173 which contains Chancery Causes 1778-1786 a court case Robert McKay Jr. filed against John Magill. The date of the statement he gave against him in court 2 Nov 1773 and stated he was a Quaker.

Reel 172 Frederick Co. VA Chancey Cases 1778-1786 dated middle of March 1777 Wm. Holliday filed a complain against Jacob Sowers Jr. for not supply as agreed a certan amount of "good proof" whiskey.

I have no idea if making whisky was Jacob Sowers Jr. only line of work or he make monies from other efforts.
