Hi all. My name is Valerie, we have traced our ancestors back to Scotland as far as Hugh Mackay or so we think we have. One of the ancestors was born on a ship coming to the america's. Job is a family name, as is Dunbar. I have just discovered this page. It is very interesting.

It is thought Andrew Job Jr. was either born on ship on the way to the colony or short after arrival. You can find plenty of original records dealing with the Jobe/Job family on film through L.D.S. library and other large public library.
If you are think your MacKay in connection with the above Job family were descendants of a Hugh MacKay of Scotland, that is not correct.
You can take your time writing to the people posting this information on the net, but I have found NONE who can produce any documentation. That's because as far as I know you can not document something which is false.
If you can produce documentation I would love to see it.
