I received this message from Wendy Dunson:

I HAVE BEEN TRACING MY FAMILY TREE.
BARNABAS EAGAN IS AS FAR BACK AS I CAN GO.
IT IS SAID THAT HE CAME TO THIS COUNTRY AS AN INDENTURED SERVANT OF ROBERT MCKAY.
THAT HOW HE GOT THE MILK HOUSE WAS HE WAS GIVEN IT BY ROBERT MCKAY FOR BEING A FAITHFUL SERVANT FOR MANY YEARS.
CAN YOU GIVE ME ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
WENDY DUNSON
I am afraid as a Mackay reseacher I can't shed any light on the birth place of your Barnabas Eagan. I have reviewed the land deeds for Cecil Co. MD and can't find any entries for your ancestor becoming a servant of our Robert Mackay.
Our Robert Mackay's land deed purchasing 150a from Stephen Hollingsworth on 18th Jul 1723 found on L.D.S. #0013822. The film covered up to the years of 1751. Years ago Ann Copley send me a copy of this deed from the Court House Records, it reads the same. She supplied "The Mackay Newsletter" with a estimated location of the said tract. Not far from Andrew Job's tavern.
You might want to check Philadelphia, PA records through Cynthia's List. Also two researchers have submitted records to the L.D.S. computer bank giving his birth place as "Northern Ireland"
Larry Ashcraft
62 W. San Gabriel Clovis
CA 93612
Robert Niemeier
3666 Flora Place
St. Louis MO, 63110
They give his wife as Rachel McDowell
Good luck with your research.

Found in Ancestry DNA Project researcher "WJB" (his tree called My Anderson Grand Children)this researcher descend of Barnabas Eagan husband to Susannah Whitson (daughter of Wm. & Margaret).
As far as I know I do not have Eagan in my DNA pool,so our link must be found with another family.
His Whitson is found linked to Leah McKay family, but I do not see that he has McKay ancestry.
Also descend of Wm. "Cedar" Green through son Nathaniel Green (1798-1860) & Elizabeth Moseley. I had hoped he linked to my Richards family through marriage of Fanny Richard & Moses Green. This family same as partners with our Robert Mackay. A group of them removed to Henderson Co. KY where they were associated with my Hopgood/Snyder. I have not found a blood link between the families.
Also looking for Thomas Brown (1773 VA-1866 TN) husband to Nancy Jane Litton through son John Brown (1796-1879) husband to Elizabeth Wheeler. At the moment I do not see how he is linked to my Brown Family.
