On line Abigail Ann Young has the death date of Catherine (wife of Daniel) died 39 Jan 1839 at 86 years of age.
She also has quoted from my work without asking permission or checking with me about additional information since I compiled the "Sowers" book in 1990's. This is something I have never done nor would do in the future.
There were only two Jacob Sowers--father & son.
Jacob Sowers R. will was dated 26 May 1777, 7 Mar 1781. HIS inventory was filed 20 Mar 1781, probated 3 Apr 1781. I have never given a actual death date for Jacob, just the date his will was probated.
Jacob Sowers Jr. will was dated 20 Apr 1822, probated 2 Sep 1822. His estate papers that were filed: inventory & executor accounts (twice). All the same man.
As far as I see from the original records only two men named Jacob Sowers in our family.
