I am looking for information on the Gibson family. John Gibson, his wife Huldy (nee Thomas) lived in Sand Lick, Virginia (Buchanhan County). Thier daughter Ibby is my GGGrandmother and it is said she was Cherokee and was adopted by the Gibson family. From the history I have read on the area, it was comprised of mainly Native Americans and Long Hunters. Other surnames include, Adkins, Baldwin, Sortridge, and Sparks. Any info would be helpful
