Frederick Co. VA Will Book 21,459 the will of John Highly named as his only two relations:
1. niece Delila BRANSON (her husband Wm. Branson not to use the property)
2. daughter Mary Ann SPROUT (her husband John Sprout not to use the property)
Said Wm. Branson was Wm. P. Branson son of Abraham m-2 Sarah (White) Branson on page 164 of my Lehew/Branson book. The marriage information I used for said Wm. P. Branson's second marriage was John Vogt. He recorded Delila surname as RIGHLEY. Either the surname was recorded wrong on the marriage bond or he read it wrong.
There was a John Highly listed on Frederick Co. VA. Census. He also was a member of Hopewell Friend Meeting. I do not see his name recorded in the book. His will gave them $5 to put and keep a fence around the burial ground.
Will dated 24 Aug 1844 probated 6 Jan 1845.
