Found in Frederick Co. VA Will Book 12, 430, the will of Peter "X" Mumaw left all his property to his sister Catherine HASS. He had property situated on the Chester Road, Frederick Co. VA, willed to him from his father (not named).

The marriage book by John Vogt has this marriage listed as John Hass & Catherine M.........?(rest not given) on 20 Apr 1813 in Frederick Co. VA.

The Haas name is in my Mumaw line. Margaret Mumaw's maiden name was Haas but I don't think the Mumaw website had much else on her. I was surprised when they were able to connect my Mumaw line which has some confusing elements in it with their database but they apparently have the necessary records to do so.
