(This came to me via email. I would like to explore the option of having it put on the National or Virginia Historical Landmarks Registry. Also, having an easement placed on the property.)

I am the Realtor in Warren County who has listed for sale the McKay Home in Cedarville. It's such a historic home and it's in need of restoration and perservation. I am worried that a developer will buy the land and the historic property will be forgotten. I have been researching the historical significance of the home and have noticed your articles online. Can you point me in the right direction to people who may be interested in purchasing the home and protecting it? Please contact me if you are able--540-671-6145. Thank you for your time,
Beth Walelr

It looks like we may have a buyer for the Robert McKay Home. I am not going to post any details about this at this time but if all goes well it looks like our ancestral home may end up in good hands.

We'll have to wait and see once this happens how things will progress after this.

I hope that a Registered Landmark Status can be attained to this house. A report from the Virginia Department of Historic Resources back in 2002 stated that the house was eligible.

Time will tell on what the fate of the McKay Home will be.

My hope is that it can somehow be turned into a historical resource open to the public, similar to Abram's Delight and Belle Grove.
