Fielding L. Sowers & Sallie (Brownley) Sowers and her mother Betsey (Mitchell) Brownley were removed to Bethel Cemetery. They lie right beside the walled Sowers/Kerfoot graveyard closest to the church.
Although I do not know for sure they were moved by my great-granduncle Beverly Brownley McKay. I believe it was so that they could be looked after much easier than they were at the Brownley-Mitchell graveyard which is located about a mile or so west of White Post along the railroad track leading away from the village.

Yes, I saw their graves years ago then we visted Bethel Church. Their grave markers are flat on the ground near the gate to my group of Sowers graves. I believe you have a picture of the walled section of the cemetery on your site.

Yep, it's in the pictures of the Meeting house & grounds of Bethel. I also have one of the graves of Fielding & Sallie Sowers and her mother Betsey Brownley.

The one you mentioned in your query, Charles Gatewood, son of John & Emily D. (Bare) Gatewood, listed on page 281 of my MacKay Book. I only know his grandparents being Susannah McKay & Charles Gatewood.
Said Charles Gatewood filed in Shenandoah Co.VA a Guardian Request dated 13 Feb 1832, he appointed Chaney & Wright Gatewood as guardians.
Chaney Gatewood is the one who married Frances S. Mitchell. He was the son of John Gatewood born c1775 & Sarah Deyerle. They were married in Shenandoah Co. VA 22 Jun 1789. I do not have a complete listing of all their children, the above Charles would have been one. Said John died in Fred/Clarke Co. VA 1832. If his will is filed in Frederick I should be viewing it sooner that later. Amelia C. Gilbreath Shenandoah Co. VA Wills 1772-1850, doesn't have it listed. But she just abtracted the wills and not all the legal records. Which means it is missing lots of information.
The will of Philip Gatewood proved 11 Jun 1793 named wife Susanna, children: Catherine Catlett, John Gatewood & Elizabeth Bowman.
So I will have to wait to connect the two different groups of Gatewood lines one intermarried with our McKay and the other with our Mitchell.
I don't know of all his children but one of them was George C (presumably Chaney) Gatewood. Who lived in Chicot County Arkansas, later in life.

Said George C. Gatewood linked up with my Mitchell family living in Chicot Co. AR appointed his brother Robert F. Mitchell to collect monies due him from Jesse Bowen. His other brother Philip W. Gatewood living in the same area.
This group also links up with the same Buck Family that intermarried with my McKay, Lehew and Branson. I do not know if their Bowen Family is also the same that intermarried with my family members.
Ancestry has so many original records on line I will be posting the various items to the profile of each Gatewood.
The other link with my families Moses Mackay Jr. two descends link up with this Gatewood Family.
