Frederick Co. VA Will Book 10, page 610,has the will of Ephraim Garrison dated 23 Sep 1816, probated 2 Oct 1820. Named his wife only as his future widow, his son Nehemiah Garrison is deceased, named as his granddaughter Emily FERGUSON the daughter of his dec'd daughter Rebecca and her husband Amos FERGUSON, named as his daughter Mildred FERGUSON who has 9 children (not named), named as his daughter Kitty Herdesty, his executors: Wm. B. Garrison (nephew), Wm. Cook & Burr Powell, Wit: James Mitchell, Jacob MCKAY JR. (affirmed) & Dandridge Garrison (oath), Security given by John McKay.

We know from other records that Nehemiah Garrison married in Frederick Co. VA to Rebecca Kennon, their daughter Frances E. Garrison married John Wesley MCKAY in Frederick Co. VA on 24 May 1832.

The marriage book that I have for Frederick & Shenandoah by Vogt, doesn't have the two above marriages between Garrison & Ferguson. This record doesn't state which Ferguson said Mildred (Garrison) Ferguson married.

I wish I knew for sure which Jacob McKay Jr. was the witness on this will. This Jacob McKay was still a Quaker. Our Jacob McKay III (son of Jacob) who married Elizabeth Antrim in 1807 was married by the Baptist. So I do not think he was the above Jacob Jr. The Jacob Jr. (son of Andrew) was dead about 1815, so can't be him. So this leaves us with evidence of our three Jacob McKay line: Jacob Sr. (son of Robert Jr.) died 1817 in OH, his son Jacob Jr. died c1830 in VA & known Jacob 2nd Jr. who married Elizabeth Antrim, died in Warren Co. VA.

I am sure combing through these Frederick Co. VA wills and land deeds will yield more information in the future.

Two of the sons of Hugh Ferguson and Massie Osborn married the daughters of Ephraim Garrison.

Amos Ferguson married Rebecca Garrison on Jan. 28, 1807 - Ephraim Garrison Bondsman. (Fauquier Co., Virginia Marriage Bonds by John Gott, pg 39.)

Samuel Ferguson married Sarah Mildred Garrison on Jan. 5, 1800 in Frederick Co., VA.

I don't have the source of that marriage at my fingertips but believe I found it in the marriage books at the courthouse in Frederick Co., Winchester, VA.

Samuel and Sarah Garrison Ferguson had a daughter Mary Mildred Massie Ferguson who married George McKay on Feb. 6, 1823 (Frederick Co., VA - Marriage Book 1)

Amos and Samuel Ferguson's sister, Mary Polly Ferguson (my ancestor) married Col. James David Bell on Dec. 19,1796 in Frederick Co., VA. (Frederick Co. Marriages 1738-1850 by John Vogt, pg 52.)
