A Wm. Mitchell who died in Frederick Co. VA before 23 Feb 1756 (date of inventory taken). On the inventory list a slave boy named Richard Hamar about 9 years of age.
I want to prove that this Wm. Mitchell (who married Elizabeth Anderson) was the father of our Carey Mitchell. I do have the inventory of Carey Mitchell and I can find the above slave (30 named) listed among his slaves.
But I will keep a eye out for what happened to slave Richard.
