I believe I've located Catharine Sowers' grave in the old German Reformed Church Cemetery. It's near the corner of the cemetery at the intersection of Woodstock Lane and East Lane.
The stone is difficult to read but I believe I can make out the name "Catharine Sowers, relict of Daniel Sowers".
I'll have to find some way of getting the writing off of the stone so I can know what it is saying.
I do not know where Daniel Sowers was buried.
We know he died sometime before Catharine did because her will stated this fact.
I also do not know if she converted to Baptist before she died or remained a member of the German Reformed Church.
On another note, I've been updating the Other Churches subsection to The Bethel Memorial, Incorporated part of the website and have new information on Buck Marsh, Salem & Rockland Churches, plus links to the websites of other churches connected to Bethel's history.

Robert W. Robins had wrote in Jan 1969 to the late Hunter B. McKay that he and his wife had found the same grave you have found. As I recorded in my Sowers book I was unable to find said grave in 1989.
Good job.
I hope to finish up my last book in my Fauquier Co. VA collection. I will then start with Frederick Co. VA Wills and Land Deeds. I will be posting items on your site as I run across additional information about our families.

I look forward to getting the info.
You might want to check out the revised list of other churches associated with Bethel through it's history.
I have new info. on Rockland, Salem and Buck Marsh up.
I was at Rockland this past Sunday attending a little gathering of some of our Sowers cousins. Had a good visit with them.
I plan to talk to this lady, who was a teacher at the old Rockland School for a long time, sometime in the near future.
Another area I'm planning to work on in relation to the churches mentioned above is to finish the section of the website listing the different Quaker Meetings in the area.
I'm long overdue in that area.

"Jacob Sowers died Aug 1822 aged about 80 years"
"Sacred to the memory of Catherine Sowers relict of Daniel Sowers who departed this life 29 Jan 1839 in the 86 year of her life"
