You have studied the Ferguson family far more than I. The Land Deed I posted was filed in Fauquier Co. VA Deed Book 11,402. Where was your deed filed--Frederick Co. VA?
There was a couple John Ferguson who married Ann Piper in Fauquier Co. VA 28 Aug 1789. Ann can be given as Nancy. So this I am assuming is not Michael's direct line. Their lease found in "Manor of Leeds" 52a adjoining the lot of Benj. Piper, corner of Moody's lot, lot of James Armstrong & corner of Dixon Wood. Their son given as Roley.
In any case the only Ferguson name given was: John, wife Nancy & son Roley.
I will be running into the deed you mentioned in the months ahead as I go through Frederick Co. VA land deeds. I am up to Book 12 at the moment.
