I assume any thing I post here on Michael's site could be copied. Certainly information I post on Ancestry really belongs to them. If this information falls in the hands of serious researchers in the end that will benefit me.

For anyone interested, the Descendants of Valentine Hollingsworth Society will be holding their annual reunion in Winchester, VA during the weekend of June 28-30. Here's a link to the complete information about this event from their website:

http://www.hollingsworthfamily.org/current.htm

It should be noted that the page is in error regarding some of the historical information being mentioned on it.

Abraham Hollingsworth is NOT a son of Valentine as indicated here but rather a grandson of Valentine. Abraham's father is Thomas Hollingsworth (who is mistakenly listed as Abraham's brother). As to the other information on the history I cannot verify at this time the accuracy of it.

I will not be attending this event due to the fact that I will be away at Chincoteague, Va. on vacation.

But, in the event anyone here would like to attend this please follow the instructions that they have printed on their webpage.
According to book by George E. McCracken Valentine Hollingsworth became Quaker page 251 "Some time in the 1660's Valentine Hollingsworth became a devoted member of Lurgan Monthly Meeting" The few early records that remain for this Meeting House, you can find Valentine and some of his son mentioned in the records.

More can be found on the family among American Quaker Records. We will want to bare this in mind and if true not to bother looking for his father Henry among early Quaker Records. If they do in fact exist.

Just received an interesting e-mail from John Hollingsworth. He did come through with new information to ME. It would appear his site does not give out to the public the Y marker results. He has confirm what I expected that people who have named Henry's father that information is BOGUS.

According to his cover sheet 90 Y marker samples are linked to OUR Valentine Hollingsworth. However we can not tell if all male descends are present. Since the kits are not made public.

He does not want our Valentine Hollingsworth's number given out to the public. But if you go to Y Search you can see those numbers.

Sorry to say most of the information found on the net about Valentine Hollingsworth's parentage is bogus. The old Family History published and on line FREE. Link our Hollingsworth with the group in Cheshire, England. Perhaps others have found solid paper documentation linking back in the past our line of Hollingsworth to the next generation, but paper trail is thin on the ground.

Now enter DNA and Y markers now present. There is no SCIENTIFIC evidence in fact a big--- NO-- that our Hollingsworth Y marker samples match any for Cheshire, England. So can go for yourself to Y Search and view these samples.

Since I and the public can not see all the Y marker kits, I can not view the one Y marker for Yorkshire, England which shows a match to OUR Valentine Hollingsworth. There is also a Y marker filed by a man whose line is in Wexford, Ireland 1700's. Thought to have come also from Yorkshire, England.

They who have all the evidence are also pondering the thought that Henry Hollingsworth's mother was the Hollingsworth and not his father. I would think this could be solved by computer and see if the numbers match other surnames. This is how our Morris Y marker mystery was solved.

The odd thing about location Yorkshire, England I am looking at a Robert Fox (L.D.S. #571395) given as the father of David Fox of Dublin MM married 5 May 1687 in Dublin to Sarah Thomson. Recorded said Robert was from Morley, West Yorkshire, England. I need the name of his wife. I have not check if these parish record exist or they have been filmed.

As of now I have not linked these Fox and Cooke with our known couple Elizabeth Fox & Wm. Cooke, but at the moment I see no other possible group of Fox and Cooke living in early Ireland. And all were Quakers.

Question I will be looking at in future are Hollingsworth, Fox and Cooke present at this village Morley, Yorkshire, England? Families did travel together. I have not found the time to see if Quakers were present in this location.

The information I have posted on my Ancestry Tree and here have not been pulled from film and placed on line. Because if you do a search on Ancestry or L.D.S. Site this important George Fox of Lurgan MM, Ireland does not show up. But incorrectly people have linked George Fox of Lurgan MM of Ireland with the family of the George Fox of England and our early colonial history. Believe that family from Nottingham, England. That family's records have been posted on line.

Always remember LOCATION, LOCATION AND LOCATION.

L.D.S. 1426037 Marriages Listing of Morley, West Riding Yorkshire, England has John H. Hollingsworth married 8 Jul 1612 Elinor Warde. I could not find any other researchers studying this couple from this location. It would be nice if Y Marker Study being run by Family Tree DNA Hollingsworth would share their results. There are 90 kits from known male descends of our Valentine Hollingsworth. Two another kits who give their oldest known ancestors from York, England also match, but location not given.

One of the families linked to my Fox, Cook and Hollingsworth. Ann Wilkinson born 1642 Ireland died 1692 DE married Wm. Gregg. His family said to be from Scotland. L.D.S. 1426037 Marriages of Morley, York, England has listed Henry W. Wilkinson married 6 Nov 1603 Margaret Ireland. This couple would be early enough to be the blood line of my Ann Wilkinson.

Question is did a group of people leave this part of Yorkshire, England for Northern Ireland ? Other names in both locations are rather common.
