Among some family papers of Mary Hutt Walker was a picture of a young girl about age 10.
It says she was Elmire TURNER. The picture says "To Mrs. McKay". This was probably Mary Ellen (Massie) McKay, wife of Oscar Caleb McKay. They migrated to Lincoln Co, MO.
Mary Ellen Massie McKay, was the daughter of Robert G Massie. (No doubt she was the Mrs McKay)
I correspond with some of her descendants. They would like to know who young Elmire Turner might be. Is she a McKay relative or friend? As yet, we don't know if she was in Virginia or Missouri when the picture was taken.
I can forward the picture if anyone desires.
