I will check my PAF program in the morning. I was recalling in my head the double lines on my part of the McKay family.

Will see how many of our cousins in VA did have a triple line of McKay.

I can't recall some line having four lines back to Robert Sr.

Burch McKay has five lines going back to Jacob Sowers. Four from his mother and one from his father.

Eventually I'll have that updated in the partial genealogy records concerning the Sowers family.

Also, J. Kenneth Robinson has four lines going back to Joseph Steer, son of Isaac & Ruth Steer.

I, myself have four lines going back to Valentine Hollingsworth.

Best I can do with my own blood lines, triple line from Melton, double lines of Branson, Richards, Sowers, DuBois & Cossart. And perhaps a double line of McKay. I am still missing maiden names so who know might be other double lines.

The children of Robert McKay & Lucy Baylis Buck would have three lines through Robert Jr. to Robert Sr.

The children of Joseph Casper McKay & Sallie B. McKay each having one line, would give their children two lines through Robert Jr. to Robert Sr.

Sure others can come up with other double and triple lines of McKay. One double line I am sorry I have not been able to find out more about--the descendants of Leah (McKay) Taylor Odell Leith, her grandson James Whitson married (his McKay cousin through James Sr.) Nancy Curle.

I am sure if I just pick through my McKay book I could come up with at least others who had double lines back to Robert Sr.

My PAF program has a section which will state degree of relationship between two people, but I do not think it has a key to hit which would just list the people who have more than one line from another person.

Well, I am aware of another double line recently discovered from your McKay book. Aunt Mary McKay married Marshall Randolph Gore who it turns out is also a descendant of Robert Mackay Sr. They being 4th cousins to each other with common ancestry in Jacob & Rachel (Ridgeway) McKay.

Also I forgot to mention my double line from Sowers & Heflybower from the marriage of my great grandparents LeHew & Nannie (Heflybower) McKay who were 1st cousins.

I am very glad I have the L.D.S. PAF computer program. Some people really like World Tree Program. In any case with our Quaker families all seem to be related to each other.

They have a nice section which will show relationships between two persons just place the two RIM # and it will tell you the common ancestors.
