Would be interested in Fielding McKay, supposedly from Louisville, Ky. He married in 1857 to Josephine Marie Corneille in New Orleans, La. They had children named Alice, Josephine, Louise, Olive and Robert, among others. Would appreciate hearing from anyone that may have knowledge of this McKay. This family lived in New Orleans. His granddaughter of great granddaughter was named Bethel.

Listed in my book "Tabulated Genealogy of Robert MacKay" page 261 & 264, listed a Fielding McKay.

I only have 15 copies of the above book left and have left 12 of Hunter B. McKay "Fairfax Land Suit", then they are gone, family researcher will have to view his work on film through L.D.S. library. My latest work of Robert MacKay can be view through State of VA Library System.

Not sure if the Handley Library has copies of these books or not.

I have Fielding McKay born 24 Mar 1810 in Shenandoah, married c1832 to Sallie .....?, he died 29 Jun 1879 Jacksonville, Morgan Co. IL. His issue from death notice in local newspaper. His funeral services were held on Monday, June 30, 1879 at 2 o'clock, from the residence of John Carson on East North Street in Jackson Morgan Co. IL.

His children listed from the above record: Alice, Josephine, Louise & Olive McKay.

From VA records we know he sold his land devised from his father Isaac McKay to Isaac Overall, date of deed 29 Aug 1839.
