I've received a package of old pictures & newsclippings pertaining to my mother's people which eventually I will add the pictures to my Maverick's Corner website.
In addition to that I've made a reciprocal link between this discussion forum and Maverick's Corner so that anyone who wishes to post anything regarding that website may do so here. You can see the "Return to Maverick's Corner" link between the "Chat" and "Post a message" links.
It appears I have Ritenour ancestry through the Mumaws. My great-great-grandmother was Amelia Ritenour who married John Mumaw. Probably where I got the name "Millie" from when I compiled some sketches of these families based on oral accounts that were given to me.
It is my belief that many of the families my mother descends from contain American Indian ancestry. I suspect that they are a hybrid of Palatine German & American Indian which is why they have German names.
