Dee Ann, I found a land Patent for an Abigail Job, adjoining her land I'm sure is Robert McKay, but it looks like the a is smeared...no other adjoining owners...it's around Nottingham, Chester County PA dated 1733 ... it's a Penn grant for 200 acres...is this Robert McKay that married Patience Job? and do you have a copy of this...I don't have it scanned yet, but will try to get it on my site in the next few days...Char

If this land deed dated around 1734, then this is the one Annie Copley discoved about 15 years ago. She supplied a map of the area, which I believe Wallace Shipp published in "The McKay Newsletter".

I also have the land deed when Robert MacKay sold his land just before he left for VA.

I think family researchers have only found two different land deeds for Robert in this part of PA/MD.

The trick will be to find records for him in Freehold, NJ.
