I am the fourth great grandson of William Kerfoot and was quite impressed with your excellent web site.
It was only last year that I discovered information on my maternal ancestors that I was decended from the Kerfoot family. Since my mother died when I was nine I did not have any information on her family. So, when I retired last year I started to do some research back through the Carter family to the Kerfoot connection.
Your posting about the Bethel Baptist Church is interesting. I can see where my family ties to the Baptist church began. So many of my lines are closely connected to the Baptist church.
I hope to get to see the Bethel church in December. I will be visiting a brother in the Middleburg area and this should be close enough to make a visit.

It's nice of you to stop by. If you are able to come to Bethel during the annual Christmas Carols and Lessons be prepared to dress warmly.

The kerosene heater we have at the church does heat the building up some but it still may be a little chilly for some folks.
