Frederick Co. VA Book 53,275, dated 5 Nov 1827,probate date 5 Nov 1827,

Wm. Kerfoot indebted to John P. Kerfoot for $300, offer as collateral held in trust by D.W. Barton, his slaves: Fanny, Emily, Matilda, Betsey, Ann, George, Peter (sometime called Peter Doctor) with increase of females, all subject to the dower rights of Mrs. Nancy Kerfoot (relict of Wm. Kerfoot Sr.)

Said Wm. & John P. were brothers, published books stated that this branch of the Kerfoot Family, except for John P., removed from VA for OH or IN. I will see in the later land deeds the actual years that they left VA.

It will be interesting for me to see what happens to said slaves, did they remove from VA or stay.
