Yes, I am just starting my family tree, this summer. I am the Duaghter of Oscar Hartford McKay.His father was Clyle Parr McKay. My mothers who is still living, is Frances Louise Boyce. Sure hope to find info. on her side,Like I have for this side. Very nice site.

It's possible but I could be wrong that your mother's people might be part of the same people whom Boyce, Va. in Clarke County is named after.

yes, they are related to my mom's side. found most of them, was trying to figure out how to get the history of boyce, and how it got it's name. Having trouble finding her mothers back ground, but having fun doing this. Did get the info, for the Robert Mckay book dee has, ordering it next week from her.

I think you will learn a lot of new things on the family by reading what's in that book.

You might want to check out the Corner Book Store on the Loudoun Street Mall. It's located right on the street corner of Loudoun & Picadilly and is on the same side as Violino Italian Restaurant. Ask for Annals of Clarke County.

They might have something about Boyce there.

From what I understand, Boyce hasn't been around very long. It started during the latter nineteenth century around a railroad station that used to be there. It grew and later incorporated into a town.
