The land deed for Shenandoah covering the years 1815-1827, held no great treats. However for those who descend from Enos McKay, several land deeds were filed by him during this time period. His lands would later fall in Page Co. VA. His siblings who lived to adulthood:
Children of Andrew & Jane (Ridgeway) McKay:
1. Patience McKay married Robert Whitacre, family removed into OH.
2. Moses McKay married Abigail Shinn, family removed into OH.
3. Jacob McKay II married Mary Haines, he died in Frederick Co. VA. Only his daughter remained in VA.
4. Enos McKay m-1 Catherine Henry, m-2 Eleanor E. Kirk, he died in Page Co. VA, this was one of Hubert McKay's blood lines. Believe his will is on line here at Michael's site.
5. Margaret McKay married Col. Oliver R. Funsten. Family later associated with Clarke Co. VA. Check out Laura Virginia Hale's books.
All can be documented through Andrew McKay's will (on line here at Michael's site) and various estate papers, court papers, marriage bonds, census & land deeds. Andrew McKay's descendants are covered in my latest McKay book pages 34 to 69.
