I wonder if anyone has come across any GORDON's in these cemeteries. I have been unable to locate (Thomas) Jefferson Gordon and his wife Mary (Kendall) Gordon for the past 5 years of searching. The house across from Rockland School (next to Rockland Community Church) once belonged to Manley & Mollie (Grim) Gordon. Manley was the son of Jefferson and Mary. Manley,(Jr.) & Etta Mae are buried in Rockland Cemetery, but no clue about Jefferson and Mary, or Manley & Mollie.

I don't know if these dates are right time period or not
Thomas J. Gordon (12 Oct 1890-24 May 1948)
Martha E. Gordon (26 Jan 1890-29 Dec 1953)
Now these dates are from the book by the late Duane L. Borden "Cemetery of Warren Co. VA" above listing from Prospect Hill Cemetery of Front Royal, Warren Co. VA.
He also has a listing of Rockland Cemetery. I was told my gr-grandfather Charles E. McKay gave the land as a community cemetery, was buried in that location, but moved to the above cemetery.

My listing for Nineveh is not a listing of the entire cemetery. But I have no Gordons listed.

Has a picture of my great-grandmother Etta D. (Sowers) McKay grave marker. I have no idea if they have all grave markers for this cemetery or not.
They have over 440 Sowers grave for various VA cemetries.
