Frederick Co. VA Land Deeds Book 41, page 40
States that Thomas Bowen & his wife Ruth G. one of the children of James D. Vance of Frederick Co. VA sold their interest in his land for $1300 to Isaac Hollingsworth, situated near town of Winchester about 136 to 141a, whereon said James D. Vance died, wit: Nathan Parkins, Walter Tanquary & Wm. Cloah. Dated 17 Aug 1817
in another deed same book they sold more of the tract to Robert Vance. Relationship not stated.
Thomas Bowen married in Frederick Co. VA on 19 Nov 1812 to Ruth Vance.
I am not sure how or if this Thomas Bowen fits into the Bowen family who married into our Sowers & Kerfoot families.
