Found in Frederick Co. VA Land Deeds Book 42, page 185-188.
Deed names three generations of Glass
Robert Glass Sr. left a will in Frederick Co. VA probated 7 Feb 1797. Names wife, children & some grandchildren.
It is referred to in the land deed, said Robert's son Samuel died without a will by 1816 Frederick Co. VA, named his widow as Elizabeth and six children: Sarah, Samuel F. (of Williamson Co. TN), Benj., Robert, Elizabeth & Thomas Glass.
I have check 1850 census for TN, said Samuel F. Glass must have died or moved by then.
By way of another deed we know Samuel Glass' wife was Elizabeth Wilson & her father was Robert Wilson. I have the names of her siblings.
Michael know there is a connection with this family and Sowers family. As you know Jacob & Isabella (Hampton) Sowers' daughter Elizabeth married a James Glass. I do not know how he fits into the above Glass.

Did find them as a couple living on the 1850 Williamson Co. TN census:
Samuel F. Glass born 1781 VA and wife Sarah born 1793 VA. They were married 7 Sep 1815 in Willamson Co. TN.
She is listed alone on the 1860 Willamson Co. TN census.
There was a Samuel F. Glass Jr. married in same location 21 Sep 1842 to Agnes W. Hunter. They as a family listed on 1850 Williamson Co. TN: Samuel F. 29, Agnes W. 24, Wm. H. 3 both born in TN.

Has more information about the above Robert Glass list children as: Martha, Samuel, Robert, Sarah, Ann, Mary, Ruth, James Joseph, Susannah, Margaret & Elizabeth.
Some of the daughter also include the names of their husband.
He gives the first Glass to live in Frederick Co. VA as Philip Glass in 1737. But his piece does not clearly state how said Robert descends from Philip.
So I will left that information out of my computer until I can find the documentation.

Frederick Co. VA Will Book 4,79, probate date 7 May 1771.
Mary Fulton named as her son Samuel, son-in-law Robert Glass, he married her daughter Sarah, they are to care for Elizabeth Fulton (her younger daughter), also named son-in-laws: David Glass & Robert Wilson.
