Frederick Co. VA Land Deeds Book 55, page 385, deed stated that Mrs. Ann Kerfoot's will probated 3 Aug 1829 allowed her slave woman Winney to purchase her freedom for $100, deed signed by Wm. Kerfoot.
I believe Ann & Wm. Kerfoot were, Mrs. Ann (Peters) Kerfoot, wife of Wm. Kerfoot Jr, and his son Wm. by his first wife Mary Bryarly.
