I've said this before regarding what stories about my ancestors I want to believe.

Over a hundred years ago there was this guy who made tons of money printing up bogus genealogies of peoples families claiming all kinds of illustrious histories involving royalty and nobility and how this estate in Europe was the "Family Mansion" and as a result different people would proudly display this work of fiction in their parlors as "our family history".

Oh, I wonder what kind of reaction they would have if someone were to come along and burst their bubble about this so-called history they so proudly display?

Anyway, I've always said that for me I would be more proud of my ancestors if they were poor dirt farmers with very little money and no royal connections than to go on believing a lie about them as told by this false historian.

The reason for this is because THESE people are the ones I came from. It is because of them that I am here. Those fictional stories did not lead to my being here, but the real lives of the actual people in our family who have real stories to tell are what lead to my being here.

The real stories and the actual places our family were involved with are very interesting to me and I think can teach us FAR FAR more than any fabricated legend ever could.

So, with this website and all that's in it I can say, "This is OUR family, and this is what we know to be the truth about them."
