Here is some info. I just put up recently in regards to a play called "The Waterford Girls" which deals with three young Quaker women and their lives during the Civil War as they publish an underground newspaper called The Waterford News that supports the Union while being surrounded by Confederate sympathizers.

The characters in the play are representations of actual people who lived during that time. Some of these are descendants of Isaac & Ruth Steer.

I found the play excellent and even talked with some of the actors/actresses playing the part of my Steer relatives.

Even if you are not a descendant of Isaac & Ruth Steer and are interested in the lives of Quaker women during the Civil War or the Civil War in general or perhaps you just like going to plays then I recommend coming to this one.

Hope to see you there.
